Der SGS3 Stammtischthread

Ich kann nur sagen die 4.3 auf dem Note 3 top...mal sehen wie es beim S3 sein wird, das Update soll ja Nov/Dez kommen. Irgendwie habe ich da meine Zweifel.

Zuerst mal auf den Leak warten, oder aufs S5. Hier die ersten Infos.

Glaube aber kaum dass es im Februar kommt, gut bei Sammy weiss mann nie. Was neue Geräte angeht sind sie sehr hyperaktiv. lol

Ja, könnte nur wenig blöde werden, denn man weiss dann nicht welches Gerät das eigene toppen könnte. Den SoC800 benutzen ja fasst alle. Den einzigen Unterschied macht der RAM.

Für mich ist je früher je schlechter die Specs. Wer weiss ob es für 64bit reicht.

Momentan hast du aber keinen grossen nutzen, zum Beispiel kommt ja das Nexus 5 mit KitKat 4.4 auch ohne 64 Bit Prozessor.

Somit wird das OS keine Unterstützung dafür bieten, also kein Vorteil.

Man müsste Android in 64bit umschreiben und das müsste ganz allein von Google kommen. Leider läuft ja alles wie bei Windows anfangs noch mit 32bit. Wüsste jetzt zwar nicht warum wir auf dem Phone 4GB RAM bräuchten. Laut Medien sei DDR4 bereits in Entwicklung und könnte vielleicht nächstes Jahr auf dem Phone anlaufen.

Das ganze Hardware verbessern macht die Software wieder schlechter. Wofür brauchen wir eigentlich KitKat? Lieber Süssware als Bloatware.

64 Bit hat nicht primär was mit 4 GB RAM zu tun... Das iPhone hat ja auch keine 4 GB bekommen.

Es geht hier um die Leistung. 64 Bit Instruktionen sind um einiges schneller als 32 Bit Instruktionen. Genauso können 64 Bit Prozessoren einen kleinen Geschwindigkeitsschub bei 32 Bit Instruktionen erweisen.

Am PC merkte man das nur minimal und die meisten sahen nur die 4+ GB RAM. Aber 64 Bit hat mehr als nur die Adressierung vom RAM zu tun. ^^

Von deiner müsste Android eigentlich nicht groß angepasst werden. Ein Leistungsschub wäre vorhanden, aber alles auf 64 Bit umzuschreiben wäre trotzdem besser.

Die Aussage mit dem Leistungsschub, stimmt sicher nicht ganz. Erstens müssenn ja zu den 64 Bit Programmen, auch die 32 Bit Bibliotheken geladen werden, was zum Teil das System sehr ausbremsen kann. Das geht vorallem zum Lasten des Speichers. Deshalb wäre es ganz wichtig das Apps sowie OS darauf angepasst werden, sonst kann es eben zum neben Effekt kommen.

Du würdest also behaupten, dass die wenigen Bibliotheken den bereits Standardmäßigen 2 GB RAM bei einem Handy vollständig füllen würden? Bei einem PC vielleicht, aber sicherlich nicht bei einem Handy.

Zusätzlich kommt, dass solange das Betriebssystem kein 64 Bit kann, die Programme dies ebenfalls nicht können. Von daher müssten auch nicht gleichzeitig 64 Bit und 32 Bit Bibliotheken geladen werden, da es sowieso keine 64 Bit Bibliotheken gibt. Wenn dann würden sie es lediglich simulieren, so wie es derzeit ist. Hierbei würde keinerlei Unterschied entstehen.
Schonmal ein 32 Bit OS auf einem 64 Bit Prozessor laufen lassen? Bestimmt, denn 64 Bit Prozessoren gibt es beim PC ca. 10 Jahre. Da hast du bestimmt auch keinen Leistungsunterschied bemerkt, da es keinen gibt, solange das OS nicht angepasst ist. Und ja, ich habe mich falsch ausgedrückt, dass 64 Bit Prozessoren 32 Bit Instruktionen schneller ausführen können.

Ich habe gesagt es könnte zu Problemen kommen, wie du richtig sagst, kannst du in der gleichen Zeit mehr Informationen verarbeiten.

Woher kriegst du diese mehr Informationen, wenn das OS darauf nicht ausgelegt ist oder die Apps??

Also kriegst du exact so viele Daten vom OS wie ein 32 Bit Prozessor. Vergiss aber nicht dass du noch die 32 Bit Bibliotheken verarbeiten musst oder Simulieren, also hast du mehr RAM Auslastung, da eben das System dafür nicht optimiert wurde.

Schneller wirst du damit sicher nicht.

Eben, das OS muss angepasst werden. Durch 64bit jedoch noch aufgeblähter, das heisst die Odin Version wäre dann etwa 1,3GB gepackt in tar.

Also KitKat 4.4 mit Nexus 5 erscheint ja sicher noch ohne Optimierung, deshalb kann ich mir vorstellen das erst zu nächsten Release eines Nexus die Optimierung gemacht wird, evtl. zu 5.0.

Klingt cool, aber wir haben noch 4-5.Monate bis dahin. 4.3 sollte dann sitzen.

Hoffen wir das sie's nicht verschieben, denn die 18 Monate wären dann schon lange um. Nach Google hätten wir noch eine Woche.

Bei Samsung gilt wohl 24 Monate Garantie = 24 Monate Updates. Ob das dann stimmt wäre die Frage.
