mein Gott, nun regt euch ab! Als ob die Welt untergeht, wenn das Update nicht gleich und sofort da ist. Viele sind doch auch schon zwei Monate ohne das Update mit dem Milestone unterwegs. Auf ein paar Tage oder Wochen mehr, kommts nun auch nicht mehr an!!! Sucht euch doch einfach mal ein Hobby!!

meinste ein hobby wie z.b. mit andern technophilen in foren schreiben oder ein hobby wie anonym in foren rumtrollen?

Recently we let everyone know that the Android 2.0.1 update was coming, but we could not provide a confirmed date.

This is because of the process involved which requires all software releases having to go through Motorola approval processes, and where applicable network testing, and finally Google approvals.

This also means optimization by country as in each country slightly different feature stacks may exist based upon language support, software and content licenses.

It is an extended process, which is why we are staggering the release of the 2.0.1 update starting with Italy and France, with the UK and Germany planned to follow shortly. As soon as we have confirmation on those dates, we will let you know.

Motorola Europe hat geschriebenvor 3 Minuten

To all our Android fans, we’d like to share that the staggered release of the 2.0.1 update has started with France and Italy today, 18 January. Germany and the UK will follow shortly – as soon as we have the confirmed date, we’ll post it here.

ne frage könnte man die italienische oder französische update.zip nehmen und auf unser milestone tuen und dann einfach sprache umstelen... o2 und vodafone gibt es ja auch in anderen europäischen ländern...

das weiß noch keiner... meiner meinung nach nicht, denn die französische version hat statt nem unlock slider nen kapitulationsslider.

der typ der von motorola die vorabversion hatte meint dies dazu:

ich sage es echt nur ungern - aber die franz version des update.zip koennt ihr NICHT !!! aufspielen. Das franz update daten von einer anderen version hoch, die franz retail version des milestone hat nicht die gleiche baseline wie die DACH oder UK version.

Muss ich mir jetzt Sorgen machen, wenn mein Vendor in der Liste nicht auftaucht?
Hab mein Milestone von logitel mit Base2 Vertrag.

vermutlich nicht, weil logitel seine Milestones vermutlich von einem größeren vendor auf der liste bezieht. ich würde mal tippen so was wie bitronic oder so...

Und wie siehts eigentlich mit der Schweiz aus...

Kommt das Update irgendwann auch bei uns???..

Denke nicht, dass sie mit Frankreich, Italien und Deutschland die geographische Lokation meinen - vielmehr geht's um Geräte, die in diesen Ländern verkauft wurden. O2 Geräte sind also "deutsche"

Ich würde behaupten dass alle (ungebrandeten?) Phones in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz gleich sind! Die FW hat ja in all diesen Ländern die gleichen Sprachen enthalten.

Nennt sich DACH (DE-A-CH) und steht auch in der fw config version.

kann man eigentlich ein firmare backup machen also dass wenn ich 2.01 raufspiele dann einfaach downgrade mit dem backup auf 2.0

Den Franzmännern und Italienern geht's ja auch nicht besser:

Das 2.0.1 wird aber 'nur' ein Update u kein Upgrade(also ne neue FW/ROM)!
Das Update ist sozusagen ein Patch.

Das 2.0.1 ist keine neue Firmware sonder nur ein Update/Bugfix/Patch..
Erst 2.1 ist ne neue Firmware, also ein Upgrade.

hm aber der 2.1 launcher läuft ja mit unserm 2.0.1 "update", aber nicht mit dem droid 2.0.1 "update"... wurde da also vielleicht doch ein wenig "upgegraded" ?

Da wurde dann wohl ne App ausm 2.1 ROM extrahiert ! ?

ne die youtube videos da oben. das isn ungerootetes milestone mit 2.0.1 und der extrahierten launcher .apk

die läuft ja auf dem droid mit 2.0.1 wohl garnet

okay wenn es kein upgarde ist gibt es dann eine möglichkeit den ,,patch" dezuinstallieren
