bitte scannt Euer gesamtes phone (z.B. mit Total Commander) nach einem Verzeichnis mit dem Namen Baidu.

Dies ist potenzielle Spyware.

Bei meinem M8 mit Viper 3.0.0 war nichts
bei dem zweiten M8 von meiner Frau war dieses Verzeichnis da -> habe ich sofort gelöscht

Mit meinem Apple-Phone brauch ich zum Glück keinerlei Viren scannen ^^
Der Schutz vor Angriffen ist nicht(nie) 100% doch bei Apple sehr gut.

Dennoch danke für den Hinweis. Wird meinem Kumpel bestimmt weiterhelfen, da er mit seinem M8 davon betroffen sein kann.

App creating the Baidu Folder: ES File Manager (supplied with Venom ROM)
More: /data/data/com.estrongs.android.pop contains _Baidu_Stat_SDK_SendRem.xml

This XML is set up to send logs to China/Baidu (Chinese Google equivalent) every 24 hours.

Background story: one of Baidu's founders is an investor with ES File Manager. There is a purely Baidu focused version of that app too.
If you use Baidu Search in ES, that will trigger the reporting. If you happen to not use it, it will not build up active connections to china.

Please, in ES Filemanager Settings, turn off search completely or set it to Google. Your choice who gets your tracking data.
