After some delays and pre-update problems, Microsoft began rolling out Windows Phone 7's NoDo update today. According to WinRumors, owners of unbranded WP7 devices are now able to connect to the Zune software and install "Windows Phone Update – March 2011," which is build number 7390. It doesn't sound like T-Mobile and AT&T-branded handsets are getting NoDo just yet, but we'll let you know when they do. The full NoDo change log from Microsoft is available below to keep you busy until then.

It may have taken longer than anyone, especially Microsoft, would've liked, but it's great to see NoDo finally arrive. Now if we could only get an ETA on its arrival for carrier-branded devices, right? I'm sure that MSFT doesn't want to keep those users waiting much longer than they already have, so hopefully we'll be hearing more in the next few days. Stay tuned.

Better Marketplace search. We've streamlined Marketplace search to make it easier to find specific apps, games, or music. Press the Search button in the Apps or Games section of Marketplace and you'll see only apps or games in the results. Press Search in the Music section of Marketplace to search just the music catalog.
Other Marketplace improvements. We've improved the stability of Marketplace while you download apps. We've also improved the experience of downloading apps larger than 20 megabytes, upgrading from trial apps to paid apps, using a credit card with an address outside the United States, sharing links to apps via email, sorting Xbox LIVE games by release date, and creating an Xbox LIVE account from within the Games Hub.
Wi-Fi improvements. We now display your phone's Media Access Control (MAC) address in Settings. (You might need this info if you try to connect to a Wi-Fi network that uses MAC address filtering. To learn more, see Connect to a Wi-Fi network.) We've also removed the limit on the number of Wi-Fi profiles that you can store and reduced the time it takes to start your phone if you've stored lots of Wi-Fi profiles.
Outlook improvements. We've improved the experience of viewing iPhone photo attachments you receive from a non-Exchange-based email account (such as a Google Mail, Hotmail, or Yahoo! Mail account), using the Global Address List (GAL) when connecting to Exchange Server 2003 using Exchange ActiveSync, and working with email display names that contain brackets (for example, "David Alexander [Contoso]").
Messaging improvements. We've improved the experience of receiving Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages if your phone uses a PIN-locked SIM.
Facebook integration. We've improved the experience of syncing Facebook accounts.
Camera improvements. We've improved the stability of switching between camera and video modes.
Audio improvements. We've improved the experience of using a Bluetooth headset to make calls when you're playing music or videos.
Other performance improvements. This month's update also includes software from several phone manufacturers that improves the performance of specific models. Naturally, if you don't have one of the affected models, we won't install this portion of the update on your phone.

Disappointing news from Telus is that they will be rolling out the NoDo update for their LG Optimus 7 on the 29th March at the earliest, and even then will be doing a phased roll out over the course of up to 4 weeks.

Ich hoffe für alle, welche gebrandete Modelle haben, dass es bei den jeweiligen Netzanbietern nicht so lange dauern wird.

Habe ein ungebrandetet HD7, bei mir spielt es das Update gerade auf, zur INFO.

Meldungen Winrumors.com zufolge, hat Microsoft mit der Auslieferung des ersten großen Updates NoDonut, kurz NoDo, begonnen.

Nachdem sich der Launch immer wieder verzögerte und auch der Umfang letztlich stark reduziert wurde, scheint das lang ersehnte Update nun endlich da.

Nutzer von Windows Phone 7 Smartphones auf aller Welt sollen nun nach und nach mit dem Windows Phone 7 Build 7390, welches unter dem Namen "Windows Phone Update - März 2011" läuft, versorgt werden.

Als erstes sind wohl ungebrandete Geräte an der Reihe, Smartphones mit einem Betreiberbranding folgen später.

Jedes Windows Phone 7 Smartphone zeigt mittels einer Meldung auf dem Display an, dass es Update zur Verfügung steht.

Voraussetzung dafür ist, dass dies unter den Einstellungen aktiviert ist.

Das Update selbst ist dann über den Computer und die Software Zune installierbar.

Microsoft hat mit der Verteilung von NoDo begonnen.

War nach dem Update alles gelöscht? Musstest du alles neu einstellen?
Oder wird das Update "nur drüberinstalliert"?

Es wird ein Backup erstellt, so das alle Daten und Einstellungen erhalten bleiben.

Lange drauf gewartet.. Jetzt ist rs da und ich installiere es nicht.. Will mein unlock behalten...

Wie kann ich mein Omnia 7 denn eigentlich entbranden ? Ist das sehr schwierig ? Würde das gerne mal probieren um dann das NoDo zu bekommen.

Dafür gibt's ein Rom. Musst aber an deinem handy dafür in den Download Modus kommen....

Bei mir das selbe. Sieht so aus, als würden erst die Leute, die ihr Gerät auf eine neuere Firmware-Version geflasht haben das Update bekommen. MS denkt sich halt, die Early-Adopter warten schon so lange, die können auch noch nen Monat länger warten

Auf meinem entbrandeten Omnia 7 mit i8700DBTJK1 bisher auch noch kein NoDo, also noch ein bisschen warten! Seid doch nicht immer so ungeduldig !

Weiß mittlerweile jemand der schon geupdatet hat, ob auch das ROM aktualisiert wird? Hab nämlich eines der ersten Omnias mit Firmware JJ6 (glaub ich...)

Nee kp. Aber ich hab auch noch kein update.. Beim preupdate war ich auch einer der ersten..

Angesichts des Zitats von Microsoft, was alles im Update steckt würde ich schon sagen, dass gewisse Hersteller ein ROM miteinbinden.
