Changelog:

- fixed move2sd problem in CM9 and AO(S|K)P ROMs
- mounted sdcard with utf8 (should fix some chinese or cryllic chars not being displayed correctly)
- I recommend you to use move2sd feature only on the primary rom because there are lots of details which is really hard to explain here.

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich auch erst skeptisch war, weil ich auch dachte, dass man ja meinen Laptop nicht zwingen kann, mehr herzugeben. Aber ohne irgendwelche subjektive Einbildung/ Phantomverbesserung -> es ist deutlich spürbar schneller geladen.
Ich bin in etwa auf dem Level des Ladegeräts. Über AC lade ich 1% in etwas weniger als 2 Minuten. Über USB bin ich jetzt bei etwa genau 2 Minuten. Heute morgen hatte ich nochmal geladen und in einer Stunde ziemlich genau 30%. Göttlich im Vergleich zuvor.
Noch zur Info: Ich benutze Voltage Controle, also nicht ExTweaks.

Muss aber leider sagen, so cool ich auch die zusätzlichen Optionen und Möglichkeiten des Kernels finde, gerade auch das CWM, bin ich mit der Laufzeit nicht zufrieden. Hab mich auch mit UV das erste mal rangetastet.

Wie man sieht, nur wenig verändert. Möchte mich Stück für Stück herantasten..
Sceduler: sio
Governor: lulzactive (aber auch mal smartass und ondemand probiert) -> Mit smartass stockt er immer nach dem aufwecken, hört dann aber auf. Mit ondemand stockt beim Musikhören, die Lautstärke, wenn man sie verändert. Lulzactive saugt gefühlt mehr..
Habe ich evtl. UV falsch eingestellt? Aber im allgemeinen kommt mir der verbrauch einfach mehr vor. Innerhalb einer halben Stunde Musik hören, habe ich sicher 5 bis 6% verloren. Das kenn ich anders. Ich probiers mal weiter mit lulzactive.
Freu mich aber über jeden Rat

PS. Hab ja die 3.1b2 drauf, ich hab was von ondemandx gelesen, wird aber bei mir nicht aufgeführt..

kurze frage ist es möglich mit diesem Kernel 2 Rom´s im Dualboot auf meinem S2 laufen zu lassen?
Ich meine es so....
Einmal das Turkbey Rom dann noch das Goa Rom und ich kann dann beim einschalten wählen welches Rom starten soll?
Wenn ja wie geht das wie instaliere ich das? Habe jetzt gerade Goa drauf und würde halt noch gerne das Turkbey Rom dazu haben.

Wobei ich befürchte das der Kernel ende des Monats totoptimiert ist.

• adjustable gamma and vibrator levels (thanks to myfluxi)
• added gamma and vibrator level adjustments to ExTweaks app
• removed 3 sec. delay if you don’t have a second rom installed.
• adjustable mDNIe settings (again from myfluxi’s repository) but I have not added any ExTweaks options to modify them. there may be some scripts or apps available to do it for you. I am new to this mDNIe settings so if you ask me my answer is “I don’t know”.
• fixed sdcard location for samsung based ROMs when they are used as second rom.

Das mit dualboot habe ich nicht ganz verstanden. Heisst es das ich 2 roms gleichzeitig auf sgs2 flashen kann, und dann vor booten wählen kann welches rom gerade starten soll?
Dazu noch die frage, wie schaffe ich 2 roms gleichzeitig zu flashen bzw in mein sgs2 zu haben?
Muss ich ein rom auf interne und andere auf externe sd flashen oder wie? Oder gibt es ein option bei siyah kernel welches flashen von 2 roms ermöglicht?

Die Rom´s sind dann beide auf der internen SD! Hier ist die Erklärung:

If you want to have another ROM as secondary ROM, follow these steps:

1. Make a nandroid backup of your existing ROM
2. wipe everything and install the other ROM
3. Boot the ROM and make customizations. Don’t forget to reflash SiyahKernel if the ROM flashes another kernel.
4. Use CWM Touch Recovery to clone your rom as secondary rom.
5. Restore nandroid backup

So wie gokhan schreibt, nicht. Es laufen ja nie beide Rom´s zusammen, man muss sich beim Booten entscheiden welches Rom! Nur an Speicherplatz nimmt es weg.

Hm, ich hätte dann ja mal Lust das zu testen aber irgendwie fällt mir nicht so recht ein wofür das so richtig nützlich sein könnte. Außer dass man fleißig Roms ausprobieren kann ohne immer wieder ein Nandroid Backup von der Hauptinstallation machen zu müssen.

Changelog:

• new feature: BLN without Wakelock (BLNWW). Disabled by default. You have to enable it using ExTweaks app.
• default I/O scheduler is set to CFQ.for default profile.
• CIFS is now built-in, no longer a module, to save space
• Superuser.apk, su, CWMManager.apk and ntfs-3g files are moved to the end of the kernel and won’t be decompressed unless they are needed to speed up the boot time.
• samsung recovery binaries and some unnecessary files moved to the end of the kernel image to eliminate unnecessary decompression. those will be decompressed only when you boot into recovery, which will make the booting process faster.
• we are now back to gzip compression after moving unnecessary binaries to payload part.

So hab heut mal das dualboot auf meinem s2 erstellt. Es war sehr einfach durzuführen und kann bisher noch keine performance einbusen feststellen. Hab als primary rom omega 9 und als secundary foxhound zum testen drauf. Super wäre jetzt noch wenn meine sms und anrufliste bei beiden roms sich immer aktualisieren aber ich glaub das funzt net. Ich denke der sinn des ganzen ist einfach ein rom immer laufen zu haben und eins zum testen zu habn. Oder man macht sich eine für alle anwendungen und eine ganz abgespeckte zum surfen und n bisschen zocken um akku zu sparen. Ich werde es zum testen nehmen oder zwischen zwei verschiedenen designs hin und her wechseln je nach laune.

Hat sich eigentlich schon jemand bei diesem Kernel mit scripts für undervolting, overclocking &Co. beschäftigt?

Ich nutzte vor ICS ebenfalls den SiyahKernel und hatte einfach ein paar scripte im init.d-Verzeichnis liegen (S_volt_scheduler z.B.), die aber unter ICS das Gerät während des Bootens zum Hängen animieren.
Jetzt habe ich lediglich über die DaemonTools die CPU Taktraten für Schlaf und Wachzustand eingetragen, was ich allerding nach jedem Reboot des Gerätes erneut durchführen muss.

Gibts da schon was vernünftiges?

I highly recommend that you reset profiles in CWM Recovery to fix smooth_target offset.

Changelog:.

checked all freq and voltage interfaces and found no problem. make sure you remove boot settings and reapply after flashing rc2 or newer because the number of frequency steps has changed. we do not have 8 steps anymore, we have 6 steps. you have to update your init.d scripts or reapply boot settings accordingly. Just in case, I have added parsing 8-step freq settings and discard first and last settings and apply 6 in the middle.
added progress bar to cloning process.
new feature: swap primary and secondary ROMs. It takes about twice the time of a cloning process. This will help you to update your second ROM until I finish flashing zips to second ROM.
updated smooth_scaling defaults to new step level. (smooth_target=1, smooth_offset=2, smooth_step=2)
added available space checks to cloning and swapping ROMs.
updated to linux 3.0.28
