mein U11 (silver) soll in 14 Tagen kommen. freu mich schon auf die Viper

Hoffe mein mein U11 (silver) kommt diese Woche... Wenn ich das schwarze genommen hätte, wäre es schon seit 11 Tagen meins...
Gut zu wissen, dass du auch dabei bist

Wie ist das Vorgehen? Schon lange nicht mehr gerootet, kenne mich auch nicht mit Magisk aus.
Gibt es auf Deutsch eine Schritt für Schritt Anleitung, wenn ich dann men neues in der Hand halte, möchte ich gleich ViperU drauf machen.

Geht das so einfach? Muss man nicht zuerst bei HTC freischalten, dann rooten etc...?
- TWRP-Custom Recovery flashen
(Im Download-Mode, mittels folgendem Fastboot-Befehl: fastboot flash recovery Name_der_Recovery.img)
- Full ROM herunterladen und auf euer U11 kopieren
- (optional) TWRP-Backup erstellen, so dass ihr im Fall der fälle keine Daten verliert.
- In TWRP booten und die heruntergeladene ZIP flashen
- Im Aroma-Installer gewünschten Optionen auswählen und das ROM installieren
- U11 nach erfolgreicher Installation booten und an ViperU erfreuen.​

hier mal eine kurze Erklärung auf englisch:

these are the minimum steps for root:

1. create account @ https://www.htcdev.com/
2. follow steps to unlock bootloader, choose "all other supported models"
3. install fastboot either from step 4 or from https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=2317790
4. continue to follow steps until bootloader is unlocked, it will factory reset the device
5. boot into download mode, flash twrp ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/u11...overy-t3617028 ), use cmd fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img
6. boot to bootloader, then recovery
7. I would advise u to keep read only for /system, then immediately do a system & boot img backup

dann dort auswählen ob SuperSu oder Magisk

Machts du SU oder Magisk?

als auf meinem U Ultra habe ich momentan Stock ROM und dann mit Magisk gerootet wegen der Funktion "Magisk hide"

läuft ohne Probleme

Weiss nicht mal, ob ich rooten soll. ViperU wäre schon cool, aber dann immer noch Firmware upen und wipen und wieder alles installieren... Glaub bleibe ungerootet...

Oder geht das jetzt einfacher mit Magisk?

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, kann man da ein ganz normales OTA (Mit Frimware ohne fullwipe?) von HTC machen und dann wieder ViperU drauf machen. Sorry kenne mich noch nicht aus mit Magisk.

"If you run the magisk version of the ROM, then you should use magisk v12, which has busybox included.

And if there is a ota update from team venom available, then you could download it and manually flash it via twrp.
The install script of the venom ota knows if you use the magisk ROM or not and will flash the files into the correct location.


And if you want to check for a ota update from HTC, you just have to disable the venom ROM magisk module, within the magisk manager and reboot your device, then you could check on the stock ROM, if there is a ota from HTC available.

Afterwards you could enable the venom ROM module again, within the magisk manager and you are back on viper, after the next reboot."

mein U11 soll spätestens morgen kommen.

boote doch TWRP

im Bootloader: fastboot boot "name vom twrp.img"

dann auf jeden Fall auf "Read only" lassen.

Backup boot , system image , recovery

dann kannst Du jederzeit wieder zurück auf den Ursprungszustand für Firmwareupdates.

bootloader unlock über HTCdev (löscht alle Daten)
danach im download modus: fastboot flash recovery "name vom twrp.img"

OSIRIS2010 ging es jetzt gut mit deinem U11 und Magisk?
Bin mir wirklich am überlegen, ob ich den Stress auf mich nehmen soll, brauche Root eigendlich fast für gar nichts mehr und Original Rom ist auch cool (meine hat das schwarze am Freitag bekommen, genial und mit Nova Launcher kann man optisch schon viel machen).
Das einzige was ich vermissen werde, ganze Apps zu kopieren (mit Inhalt und Passwörtern) und filleicht noch die App "Wifi Password" die Root braucht.
Was ich nicht vermissen werde, dass ganze flashen und immer wieder die Angst, einen Briefbeschwerer zu produzieren.
Updates von HTC kommen ja nicht schlecht und auch sicher 2 Jahre lang (nicht wie bei anderen Herstellern).

ich habe am WE ViperU 1.2.0 geflashed.

Läuft ohne Probleme

Bleibe unrooted, da jetzt auch noch kein s-Off da ist und die Stockrom einfach genial ist. Läuft ja hammermässig...

Hallo,

Ich haber die ViperU 1.3.0 installiert, läuft alles sehr gut , würde aber gerne die neue 1.13.401.1 cid 34 firmware installieren. dann wieder zurück auf die Viper gehen.

Kann mir bitte jemand erklären, welche Schritte ich setzen muß, um die 1.13 auf das U11 zu bekommen. (U11 ist unlocked und rootet)

ich hoffe Du hast das beachtet:

-> da noch kein S-OFF verfügbar ist unbedingt darauf achten, dass man "BOOT , SYSTEMIMAGE" mit TWRP im "read only" Modus sichert. Dann kann man immer zurück auf Stock untouched und die Firmware flashen.

zurückspielen der Sicherung "untouched"
reboot in download modus

fastboot flash zip "name_der_firmware.zip"

vorher aber eine Sicherung von BOOT / SYSTEM / DATA machen.
nach dem flashen der neuen firmware diese dann wieder zurückspielen

Danke für die Info, ich habe mit Twrp eine Sicherung durchgeführt, habe aber nichts extra eingestellt, hoffentlich war ' read only' eingestellt, sonst muß ich auf s-off warten , nochmals vielen Dank für die Info.
Aber die original Firmware ist auch fehlerfrei.
