Installations-Anleitung

Achtung, vor dem flashen lesen:
Diese ROM wird über ein Custom Recovery geflasht, durch das installieren eines Custom Recoverys wird sich der Knox Warranty Void im Downloadmodus unwiderruflich auf 0x1 stellen und Euer Garantieanspruch wird verfallen.

Installation:

1. Sichert Eure Daten (Nadroid Backup, Titanium Backup, efs Backup, etc....) und speichert diese auf dem PC.
2. Flasht ein Custom Recovery, siehe hier. http://www.pocketpc.ch/samsung-galax...ml#post1959791
3. Kopiert die OmegaROM.zip auf den internen Speicher
4. Bootet in das Recovery und flasht die Omega ROM

Omega werde ich auch beim S5 auslassen, ist einfach nicht mein ROM.

Mir persönlich ist das auch bissl zu arg

Also die ROM gefällt mir bis jetzt sehr gut und läuft in Kombination mit dem Hacker-Kernel bisher auch einwandfrei! Ach ja, Wanam Xposed funktioniert nun endlich auch bei mir! Keine Ahnung, warum das auf der Stock ROM bei mir nicht geklappt hat... Sobald ich die ROM etwas länger im Einsatz hatte, werde ich nochmal berichten...

Ich hatte die ROM für ca. 2 Std. drauf und konnte in der kurzen Zeit auch nicht negatives feststellen. Was mir schon immer an Omega gefällt ist das Taskmanager Shortcut, davon gibts zwar auch welche im Play Store, die laufen aber alle nicht so Rund wie das von Indie .

Mir gefällt der Statusleisten-Mod auch sehr gut. Und natürlich die Tatsache, dass Viper 4FX wieder integriert ist. Dieser Soundmod und meine Sony Overears sind einfach nur eine geile Kombination! Wo findet sich denn der von dir beschriebene Task-Manager Shortcut? Konnte den nicht finden...

Der Download funktioniert bei mir z.Zt. nur über den original XDA-Thread. Andernfalls kommt nur die Meldung: "All Download Slots for this Direct link are Full" (?)

Danke - hat aber leider nichts gebracht. Das liegt aber glaube ich gar nicht an Deinem Link, sondern am dortigen Server ... Mal funktioniert es, mal nicht ...

Ich lade schon seit S2 Zeiten über utorrent, dauer 30-45 min. mit 6000 DSL.

Ich habe ein Problem nachdem ich die Omega 4.0 geflasht habe, sind meine Kontakte zwar alle da, werden aber weder bei anrufen noch net sms der Nummer zugeordneten?

Hallo,

das Problem ist bekannt und hängt wohl mit der CSC zusammen. Die Lösung des Problems besteht darin das Google Konto zu löschen. Anschließend das Google Konto wiederherstellen.

V 4.0 runs smooth here. Problem with contacts was fixed by removing google account and adding it back again.

Bei anderen Usern mussten wohl auch noch die Nachrichten gelöscht und nach dem Wiederherstellen des Google Kontos eingespielt werden.

Bei mir war das Entfernen des Google Accounts, anschließende Wiederherstellung und Synchronisierung ausreichend.

Ich frage mich nur, ob ein Umstellen der CSC das Problem auch beheben würde. Ich trau mich nur nicht das durchzuführen, da dann alle User Daten weg sind und mir die Sache auch zu unsicher ist. Des Weiteren ist für mich jetzt auch kein weiterer größerer Nachteil der TGY CSC ersichtlich.

Kennt sich einer von euch evtl. mit dem Zeug aus?

The OMEGA v.4.0 Contains TGY CSC. It changes is by defauf during installation.
It is caused, because the new ROM MUST HAVE CSC SET to TGY, FOR THE FIRST BOOT.
Otherwise, the data transmission won't work.
After the first boot, you can change the CSC to corresponding to you country/carrier.

The other subject, is flashing modems.
I have written 5 times a short HOW TO in thread concerning v.3.1.
Trust me - nothing changed.

The only thing is, that it is better to complain, that get back few pages and read.

Indie cooked for all of us another great ROM, but for the moment, he can hear only complains.

Eine Änderungen der CSC hat einen Fullwipe und somit einen vollständigen Datenverlust zur Folge. Am besten macht man das nur direkt nach dem Flashen einer neuen ROM wenn noch nichts eingerichtet ist.

Man könnte aber ein Nandroid-Backup in der Recovery erstellen, dann den CSC-Wechsel (inkl. Full-Wipe) durchführen und danach ein Restore des Backups (nur Daten !) einspielen. Das müsste funktionieren Zumindest ist es ohne Risiko, da man ja das komplette Backup hat

Bisher läuft ja alles eigentlich recht gut und Android 4.4.3 steht ja auch in den Startlöchern, weshalb ich es einfach mal so lassen werde und auf eine neue Version des Omega Roms warte. Ich denke und hoffe, dass da dann das Problem mit der CSC nicht mehr besteht.
Wenn nicht bleibt ja immer noch die Möglichkeit des Nandroid-Backups.
