Die Seite ist normalerweise sehr HTC-freundlich! Dei denen standen noch bis vor Kürzem HTC Desire und Desire HD an der Spitze der besten Android-Phones, erst neulich abgelöst von SonyEricsson Arc... Trotzdem ist dieses Review sehr positiv und gleich an mehreren Stellen erklingt pure Begeisterung... insbesondere wegen dem Speed (gleich auf der 1. Seite). Auch Multimedia-Fähigkeiten werden gelobt ("will be king of the media phones for 2011"). GPS und Akku -- diese zwei Punkte sind auch sehr positiv erwähnt.

Die allerersten Eindrücke: es ist schnell und sparsam. Und es hat keine NFC-Unterstützung :-\

"The clock widgets don't bring up the alarm when you press them" frei übersetzt: Die Uhr-Widgets öffnen keine Alarmeinstellungen wenn man darauf drückt. Kleinigkeit. Alarm selbst sollte doch funktionieren.

Jetzt will ich es unbedingt haben...
Schade, dass wie hier im Forum bereits geschrieben kein NFC-Chip drin ist (nicht das man ihn bislang bräuchte, aber es war halt angekündigt und man will ja irgendwie die "ultimative Version" haben), aber das ist für mich nicht so schwerwiegend. Zwei Tage Akkulaufzeit? Größerer Screen bei fast gleichen Maßen wie das SGS oder Nexus S? JA!
Wenn es nun noch dauerhaft flüssig läuft und nicht nur für die Dauer eines Review-/Unboxing-Videos, dann ist es wohl das momentan perfekte Smartphone für mich. Ein bisschen dran rumbasteln finde ich ok, aber mit dem flashen von ständig neuen XDA-Firmwares, Kerneln usw. will ich mich nicht befassen, da meine Zeit dafür zu begrenzt ist.

Also nice verstehe ich ja noch ganz gut. ;) Ansonsten möchte ich nicht Googles Sprachoptionen für die vielen englischsprachigen Reviews bemühen, weil mir die Übersetzungen eh nie gut genug sind, und warte dann mal lieber auf das schön, schön schön, sehr schön von den deutschsprachigen Beiträgen. :)

naja viel zu übersetzen gibts ja leider nicht :D
er betont ja auch das es ein unboxing ist und kein review an sich.

Was er aber sagt grenzt schon an purer Hingabe gegenüber dem S2 ^^

er lobt natürlich, das Handy dafür das es soooo leicht ist, kann nur positives über die Farbwiedergabe des Displays sagen, auch mit Live-Wallpaper kein SlowDown des Handys spürbar und er ist zwar kein fan von Touchwizz lobt aber trotzdem die Oberfläche für die Ordnung und Smothness :)

Ja und neben nice nice nice^^ gibts auch mal ein Omg so good,,, oder thats fantastic, thats so smooth.... :D

Mir ging es aber nicht nur um diesen YouTube-Link, sondern meinte damit all die vielen englischsprachige Reviews, die hier gepostet wurden, und die dann teilweise auch noch zitiert wurden. Wird wohl noch ein bissl dauern, bis man mehr deutschsprachiges lesen und hören kann. ;)

Du kannst ja den Google-Übersetzer verwenden. Ich habe mir damit ein russisches Review durchgelesen. Ziemlich unschön und teilweise nicht eindeutig, aber besser als die Gier nach dem SGS2 nicht täglich mit Reviews zu steigern ;)

Ich hatte ja schon geschrieben, daß ich die Übersetzungen von Google nicht mag, und lieber warte.

Nein ich meinte damit nur das, das Handy dem Mann sehr gefällt :D

Der glückliche Besitzer dieses SGS2 kann es auch mit dem Galaxy S und einen iPhone 4 vergleichen.

Noch schnell für diejenigen, die nicht so gut englisch können:
In dem von vygi zitierten Review weiter oben wird das GPS des Handys gelobt, somit sollten die Probleme des ersten SGS passé sein.

@Lokum: Bei Android-Geräten mit LED-Blitzlicht stellt das normalerweise kein Problem dar, eine entsprechende App zu programmieren. Wird also voraussichtlich schon etwas in die Richtung geben.

@NicNac: Hatten wir bereits etwas weiter vorne.

Der Bildschirm wird auch in der Hinsicht gelobt, dass er gut gegen Fingerabdrücke und Flecken "wirkt". Außerdem wird der 1.2GHz ARMv7 Dual-Core Prozessor bestätigt. Er läuft im Standby/Idle unter 200Mhz und hat im Test nur in 9,2% die vollen 1,2Ghz beansprucht -> gutes Powermanagement seitens Samsung. Wie von Engadget üblich, wird bezüglich dem iPhone relativiert. Engadget ist sich demnach nicht sicher, ob es sich für iOS-Benutzer lohnt, ihr bisheriges Apple-Eco-System für das SGS2 aufzugeben, um zu Android zu wechseln.
Die Review ist dennoch positiv geschrieben und kommt zum Schluss, dass das SGS2 das beste Android-Smartphone, wenn nicht sogar das beste Smartphone bislang ist.

Mit 4,5 von 5 Sternen sieht es Pocket-lint im vorhin erschienenen Review kaum anders:

wowowo! Es weihnachtet, glaub' ich!
Sehr selten kommt etwas dermaßen Positives seitens Engadget, und wenn schon -- dann ist es ein Apfel. der gelobt ist. Diesmal sieht es ganz anders aus.

Ich glaube auch nicht mehr an den Moment, wo Engadget ein durchweg positives Review postet, welches nix mit dem Apfel zu tun hat.

Wenn man akribisch nach Fehlern oder Negativen Aspekten sucht, dann findet man auch welche. Selbst wenn es um das (fast) perfekte Samsung Galaxy S2 geht.

Ist wohl leider schon so. Was mich am meisten stört ist dass das SGS II die selbe Endwertung (9/10) erhält wie das Motorola Atrix...
Finde das SGS II bietet das deutlich bessere Gesamtpaket. Das Atrix ist auch ein gutes Gerät, aber eher eine 8 als eine 9 und imho nicht auf gleicher Stufe wie das SGS II oder die neueren iPhones.

Davon abgesehen, nur zur Info: 9/10 ist die beste Wertung, die Engadget je für ein Smartphone gegeben hat. Bisher erhielten eine solch hohe Wertung nur die folgenden Geräte: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, HTC EVO 4G, Motorola Atrix.

/Edit: Überdies finde ich die Wertung 9/10 in Ordnung. Für 10/10 hätte bei den Materialien imho auch sowas wie beim iPhone 4 verwendet werden müssen... Das wär' dann halt noch das Tüpfelchen auf dem i gewesen, was dem SGSII die Maximalpunktzahl ermöglicht hätte.
