[KERNEL][UNIFIED] SiyahKernel v2.6.14

Ich bin zufrieden mit diesem Kernel.Ich hatte zwar auch Freezes aber nur weil ich mit SetCpu zuviel rumgespielt habe mit mV werte.Jetzt habe ich die mV werte im normalen bereich und kein einziges Problem !!

Kann mal jemand die default voltages posten. Hab kein plan mehr wo ich hier schon überall rumgespielt habe. Default laden bei set cpu funkt irgendwie net....

die Defaults von 1.7.8 beta 2 (yepp, der behebt das Problem der SD-Unsichtbarkeit, das manche haben) sind:

1600/1400, 1400/1300, 1200/1250, 1000/1175, 800/1050, 500/950, 200/950, 100/950

ich persönlich verwende die Originalvoltagewerte mit SmartAssV2 und 100-1400 ohne Profile im SetCPU (da der SmartAssV2 automatisch bei display off die Frequenz auf 100-500 begrenzt)

damit bisher (auch mit den früheren Versionen) nicht ein Freeze/Reboot oder sonstwas;
rock solid, no lags, feature rich, akkusparend

rooting script has changed once more. if there are any su binaries in either /system/bin or /system/xbin it will not install anything. also, su binary location is set to /system/bin and it creates a symbolic link /system/xbin/su to /system/bin/su.

Edit 2:

ok I have uploaded beta4.

in previous beta versions there was a problem with init.d scripts. they were not running as root.
therefore some custom rom tweaks were not working.
also underclocking/undervolting scripts were not working.

I have increased internal voltage level of 1600mhhz.
1600mhz should be more stable than before.

I reverted some patches that I applied because there were causing some sdcard issues.
therefore I set the minor version back to 7. I thought that would be more appropriate because we are now far from .14.

I am still thinking about reverting the wifi drivers.
is there anyone who still has problems with wifi?

I changed the rooting script once again.
it overwrites su just like cfroot kernel...
let's hope this will fix some application freezes etc.
su is now copied to xbin and /system/bin/su is removed.
I also remove superuser.apk files from system and data and copy the new one to system/app

Die neue Kernel Version installiert wieder den neuen Superuser 3.0;
diesmal aber anscheinend auf eine Art, bei der nach dem Kernel Install der upgrade auf superuser 3 (beim ersten expliziten Start der Superuser app) die der alten Superuser-Version gegebenen root-Rechte korrekt auf die neue migriert und die später offenbar keine Probleme mehr mit verweigerten root-Rechten für Apps zur Bootzeit mit sich bringt (konnte ich zumindest bis jetzt nicht reproduzieren)

Die Spannungen für OC sind geändert, also nach dem Kernel Install den SetCPU schön seine Frequenzen und Voltages neu detecten lassen (menu device install)

I have changed the rooting method again. I have been trying several different roms (more than 5 in last 2 days) and there are some weird behaviors...this method seems to work fine but even if you have superuser/root problems please install su package in CWM (link is in the first post)

sometimes rebooting once more or clearing dalvik cache helps.. try it before reporting a problem.
I think I will clear dalvik cache and reboot after installing root in the final version.

there are some changes in cpu scaling.. I hope this version is more stable.

hab gerade den SiyahKernel v1.7.8 Beta 5 versucht. Und nach ca 35 Minuten wieder das gleiche zuerst einfrieren dann Neustart.
Also weiter warten und vorerst wieder den CF Root.

Woran liegt es das die akku schneller sich lädt? An Fw oder an kernel, weil in 40 Minuten hat sich akku auf 18 % geladen. Finde ziemlich schnell!
An fw denke ich hängt nicht, den ich hatte 3 tage fw ki3, so schnell lud sich nicht !

kann ich nicht bestätigen... hab goa mit dem laufen, bislang kein problem festzustellen. allderdings nicht sonderlich undervoltet.

zusätzliche sachen....

da gibts ganz als letztes ein cwm-flashbares script wo die lade-mA auf 1000 statt üblichen 450 setzt.
hattest das vielleicht mal ausgeführt?

Nein diddsen , sowas traue ich mich nicht zu.Ich habe außerdem immer noch den version 1.7.7.Hab einfach geflasht und fertig

• updated recovery to CWM 4.0.1.5 (stable)

• CWM flashable version wipes cache & dalvik-cache. first boot will take long time if you use CWM flashable version.

Hmm die CWM Version von der RC1 lässt sich bei mir nicht flashen, kommt immer "no Zimage found"! Werds mal über odin versuchen

Weder die als tar noch als zip.....

hmm dann versuche mal folgendes so habe ich es gemacht.
Lade dir die Zip runter entpacke diese und kopiere dann nur die zImage auf deine Interne SD-Karte.
Dann geh unter Einstellungen / Goa Einstellungen / Backup Einstellungen / Flashe Kernel und wähle dort die zImage aus die Du auf die Interne SD-Karte kopiert hast. Sollte so gehen weil so habe ich es gemacht. Und so hast Du auch nicht dieses Gelbe Dreieck.
Ich setze vorraus das Du Goa 1.3 oder Goa 1.4 drauf hast.

aber wenn wir schon dabei sind... einfach die .tar in goa einstellungen, backup angeben und gut

also mit DarkyRom2 Tool (so wie im OP des Siyah-XDA-Threads empfohlen, das Teil gibts im Markt für umsonst) ließ sich der 1.7.8rc1 zumindest als CWM-zip problemlos vom SGS2 aus flashen

nun ist noch ne v1.6 ins spiel gekommen... ich blicks nicht mehr.

speedmod up to version T27 was not based on update2 sources and although hardcore in version T28 switched to update2 he reverted to update1 in T32 (probably still T40 is update1 based)

I therefore wonder which speedmod version 1.6reTOUCHed is based on: T27 (but this is update1 and you write your 1.6 is based on update2), T32 (update2) or T40 (the latest speedmod)

as I said before it [Siyah 1.6reTOUCHed] is based on speedmod T27 patches.
I got T27 patches and applied it to update2 source.
speedmod was using update1 sources until v40 because it was believed that update2 was preventing deep sleep.
in v40 some drivers are merged back to update1 sources from update2.
I don't think we have any deep sleep issue in update2 sources.
you will never know if you don't try.
I do not say that this is the same as speedmod nor I do not say that it is as stable.
I just say that I did not make any radical changes in the source code.
so... this is not speedmod kernel. and v1.6 is based on update2 sources.

1.6reTOUCHed und 1.7.8rc2 sind funktional gleich, der 1.6reTOUCHed (der neuere der beiden!) basiert aber auf den neueren Samsung update2 Quellen

sobald die beiden kernels aus der Beta-Phase raus sind, spricht das m.E. für den Einsatz des 1.6reTOUCHed (dann hat der vermutlich auch eine weniger verwirrende Versionsnummer)

Kannst du bitte mal deine aktuellen, funktionierenden, Werte posten?! Bist ja auch ein "GoA-Jünger" und da ich mir diese Woche eh noch die 1.4 flashen werde und bisher ausschliesslich den Nimphe-Kernel hatte...; wär echt super nett!
