1. Original Samsung Stock Kernel

Im Anhang findet Ihr den Originalen Lollipop 5.0.1 Samsung Kernel als gezippte Image Datei, dies ist nützlich, falls Ihr ihn als Backup benötigt wenn etwas beim flashen schief gehen sollte.

Man kann Ihn mit Apps wie z.B.: Flashify oder Rashr auch wieder zurückflashen!

Das Team Htcspain hat den Emotion Kernel für TW Based Edge F / FY und die Versionen G und T rausgebracht!

Habe Ihn gestern mal geflasht, läuft sehr sehr gut!

This is a stock SeLinux permissive kernel and init.d activated for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge N915F und (FY) for Lollipop 5.0.1.
There are inputs that is working also on N915FY.
The kernel was compiled from Samsung source LL_CIS kernel using Google toolcahin v4.8.

If you want to test it, please flash in cwm the attached file and report back. Please make a backup of your actual kernel (boot.img) befor flashing this one.

Special thanks to @Micky387 who advised me to update the source kernel (MH driverI), @Wuby986 for his support and guidance and @daxgirl for his advices.

Was ist F2FS?
In einfachen Worten, einfach ein schnelleres Dateisystem, schnellerer Zugriff auf Daten ...

Wichtig, der Kernel unterstützt aber weiterhin auch die ganz normalen Partitionen und Dateisystem! F2FS ist natürlich nicht zwingend!

Hi Petteri,
also kurz mal offtopic, da der Kreis um das Note Edge an ambitionierten Usern relativ klein zu sein scheint
und ich deine Posts immer wieder lese, z.B.: bei XDA, habe ich mich entschlossen mich jetzt hier bei PocketPc anzumelden.
Vielleicht ist mit den wenigen aktiven Usern ein gepflegter Informationsaustausch interessant, und da ich nun seit vielen Jahren
überall mitlese und sicherlich auch im vierstelligen Bereich geflasht hab ist von dieser Seite auch ein gewisser background vorhanden.

Konkret geht es mir gerade um einen Kernel,
mein N915F fährt Stockrom (5.1.1) mit root und TWRP.
Getestet hab ich die Edgerom und den schwarzen Mod.
Themechoser, Xposed und diverse Module ... usw.

Also zurück zum Kernel, hast Du mit einem custom Kernel beim N915F tatsächlich
gewinnbringende Erfahrungen gemacht, bzgl. Akkulaufzeit oder ähnlichem.

Ich persönlich hab beim S3 mit custom Rom und Kernel einen gravierenden Unterschied gemerkt,
beim S5 mit custom Rom und Kernel unwesentlich. Jetzt mit dem Edge interessiert es mich schon sehr.

Gibt es eine custom Rom die im sleepMode die Edgeleiste einschalten kann?
Dieser Punkt ist für mich der Punkt gewesen wieder auf Stock zurückzugeghen.


Kennst du einen funktionierenden, vorzugsweise flashbaren, schwarzen Mod, z.B.: Material Dark.
Klar hab ich Suchmaschienen befragt und diverse Mods getestet, leider hab ich nichts befriedigendes gefunden.
(Gemeint ist das Aussehen wie es bei 4.4.2 üblich war ... AMOLED und BLACK gehen schon gut zusammen)

Interessant wäre auch ob im launcher betrieb jemand die Icons auf der Edge leiste in einen Mod/anderes Aussehen
verändert hat.

An dieser Stelle ist mir wichtig ich möchte gerne meine bisherigen Erfahrungen auch mit in dieses Forum einfliessen lassen
