[ROM] [SM-N915F/FY] EdgeROM COH2 5.1.1 - deodex, zipalign, MIT ROOT [v1.1 - 11/9 Sep]

UPDATE in POST 3!!!!

For Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915F (and probably SM-N915FY - not tested yet).

To install this ROM you have to follow this:


1. Use Titanium or any other sw to backup your contacts, sms, favorites and any other personal files. Make a nandroid backup. Copy the cwm ROM into your device.
2. Boot in DL mode and flash with Odin the stock 5.1.1 COH2. Let the phone boot.
3. Reboot the phone in DL mode and flash with Odin your favorite cwm recovery.
5. Flash the cwm ROM
6. First reboot will take ~7-10 minutes. Just wait patiently.
7. After you setup your ROM, make all the updates from PlayStore and Samsung Apps Store
8. Enjoy the ROM and give feedback.

Unfortunately, the ROM it doesn't have root yet due to the fact that Samsung didn't released the kernel source for 5.1.1. When the root will be available, I'll update this thread.

starbucks2010 hat den Root geschafft, es gibt zeitnah ein Update dieser FW, heisst wohl auch, das dann Xposed möglich sein wird!

Wird aber erst in der V2 eingebaut werden, also sollte aber der Root des 5.1.1. nicht mehr sehr lange dauern!

Xposed für die Starbucks FW

eine funktionierende Xposed Version für diese ROM und wohl alle DEODEXED FW`s mit Android 5.1.1 ist die von Wanam!

Zu allererst installiert die letzte Xposed apk auf dem Handy (einfach als apk ganz normal installieren!

Ladet Euch die Dateien als .*zip runter, kopiert diese auf die SD Karte und flasht sie über das Recovery!

Voila, mit dem Root und der deodexed FW von Starbucks gibt es nun auch Xposed!

Falls etwas schief geht, Euer HAndy in den Bootloop geht, habe ich Wanam`s Uninstaller Zip ebenfalls hochgeladen, diese einfach ebenfalls übers Recovery flashen und die Xposed Aktion wird wieder rückgängig gemacht!

ACHTUNG: Die Dateien funktionieren nicht auf dem Galaxy S6 und Note 5!!!! Es sind die Arm 32 Dateien, für die beiden anderen Geräte benötigt man die Arm 64 Dateien!

Yep. alles perfekt, endlich...und ich meine endlich.... ist das Note Edge wirklich zu gebrauchen...11 Monate rumgequält, jetzt ist es super!

Da der neue Emotion Kernel TW 5.1.1. beta r21 in dieser ROM verbaut ist, wird auch Synapse als App mit installiert! Dies ist der einzige Kernel im Moment, der das rooten auf dem Edge erlaubt! Synapse (ist eine Kernel Tweak App) hat ein paar Profile voreingestellt, diese könnt Ihr ja mal durchtesten, ich nutze meist die Einstellung "Performance", welche im Menü Bereich unter PROFILE zu finden ist!



Ihr könnt Euch hier auch eigene Profile anlegen.....

Ansonsten ist die Performance jetzt wirklich richtig gut mit der 5.1.1. FW....



Allerdings ein kurzes FAzit nach ca. 30 Std. testen, muss ich sagen, das mir die Original Stock fast noch besser gefällt, ich finde, die läuft gesamt noch geschmeidiger, allerdings brauche ich Root, also muss man halt persönlich für sich entscheiden, was einem wichtiger ist.

Xposed und verschiedene andere Möglichkeiten die mit dieser FW nun einmal funktionieren, sind unentbehrlich für mich!

Fall aber Root auf der Stock klappt, werde ich nochmals einen Test mit der Stock machen....
