Push Benachrichtigung funktioniert unter Lollipop 5.0.1 NICHT

es funktioniert ja auch bei mir... weil ich ipv6 deaktivieren kann. bin ich aber bei meinem kumpel....geht es nicht! wie bei unzähligen anderen usern auch....und wenn du die links gelesen hast....dann weisst du auch das dieses problem real existiert und ipv6 dafür verantwortlich ist...bzw android....bzw samsung

ausschäaggebend ist auf jeden fall ipv6....google doch mal welche probleme die kabel deutschland user haben....die bekommen nämlich router mit der hauseigenen software von KD....und darin lässt sich ipv6 nicht vom endberbraucher deaktivieten....weshalb die alle die probleme mit push im standby modus haben......

What' is the problem?

When the phone connects to a wireless network and the wireless network sends ICMPv6 messages with Router Advertisements, the phone configures its IPv6 address according to the information submitted in the router advertisements. Those router advertisements have a life time (like DHCP leases), so after some time the phone removes the IPv6 address when no updates com in. Wirless routers generally resend those advertisements in a period of times (in my case every 6 seconds), so the route/ipv6 information is updated and the lifetime is reset.

The problem on Samsung's Android phones/tablets is the fact that the phone ignores any router advertisements once the screen is switched off. So the address wll reach its end of lifetime (in my case the lifetime is 20 minutes, because in Germany the IPv6 prefixes are changed by most providers quite often for privacy reasons). This means, the phone looses its IPv6 address and router when in standby mode.

You can verify the problem by 2 simple tests:
- PING your phone using the IPv4 address: The phone responds perfectly on almost every PING sent. It responds slower in standby mode, but it definitely responds.
- PING6 your phone using the IPv6 address: The phone responds only when the screen is switched on, if it is switched off *all* ping packets get lost! Ping packets are also ICMP packets like the router advertisements, so it looks like the wireless driver is ignoring them and not reporting them to the linux kernel.

I found no setting to make the wireless driver not ignore the ICMPv6 packets in standby. Entering service mode with**#0011# and disable the WIFI power saving does not help for this problem. I also checked the official kernel source code of the*bcmdhd wifi driver, no explicit disableing of ICMPv6 -> but the firmware loaded up to the wifi chip may be buggy.

I tried the same with an older "HTC Desire" telephone (Android 2.3): this phone responds to IPv6 router advertisements and ping requests also in standby mode, so it does not loose its IP addresses!

This is really a serious IPv6 problem on the broadcom-wifi samsung phones that should be solved by a coming firmware update for the wifi radio firmware or kernel driver. In the current state, Samsung phones with that problem cannot be used in IPv6 enabled wifi networks - and you have no chance to disable IPv6 on the phone!!!

One user also describes in the bug report @ Google and I can confirm this: Google services are enabled to use IPv6 if available. So when the phone connects e.g. for push notifications coming from google services, the TCP6 connections are kept open for very long time. But as the phone ignores ICMPv6 neighbour discovery, the router is no longer able to get (similar to ARP in IPv4) the correct hardware address of the phone, because it never responds to those requests. This makes the TCP6 connection dead and the phone no longer receives push notifications, unless the IPv6 address's lifetime is over.

Widerspruch: Ich bin bei Kabel-BW (neuerdings: Unitymedia) und habe ebenfalls IP6. ALLE meine Samsung-Devices (vom S1 bis zum Note 5) funktionierten IMMER ohne Probleme. Jederzeit Push !

ja...aber offensichtlich eben bei vielen eben nicht....oder denkst die foren sind zum zeitvertreib und die betroffenen personen jaben sich das ausgedacht

Nein, es mag ja schon sein ... Aber soweit ich weiss (also so ist es bei mir) liefert ja Kabel-BW und Kabel-Deutschland nur das Kabel-Modem, nicht aber den Wlan-Router ... - bzw. sind das ja zwei Geräte. Erst neuerdings seit 2-3 Monaten gibt es ein Kombi-Gerät. Und das Problem mit IPv6 besteht ja eben durch den Wlan-Router und nicht durch das Kabel-Modem. Ergo: Dringends Zeit, sich einen anderen (guten) Wlan-Router zu kaufen (der mitgelieferte ist eh Müll - siehe die von Dir beschriebenen Probleme).

Ich kann da den Asus RT-AC66U wärmstens empfehlen

das problem hatte ich sowohl mit der fritzbox 7490 als auch mit dem speedport w723 v version b

und es regt mich einfach im allgemeinem auf....zu hause habe ich in der fritzbox ja ipv6 einfach deaktiviert....und alles funktioniert....nur kann man das ka nicht bei allen routern machen

Das sind aber ausgerechnet die Beiden, die die allermeisten Probleme mit Samsung-Smartphones haben !

weiß jmd wie ich meinem device eine statische IP zuweise ? und muss ich das dann in jedem eingewähltem Wlan netz neu machen ???
