NexusHD2-FRG83D V1.7 PPP + RMNET

This is the latest, fastest, stable and clean *stock* Android build for HTC HD2.
This build includes Google Nexus One's OTA update (FRG83D - Android/Froyo 2.2.1). (released on Nov. 18, 2010)
Quadrent score is 1866.

Release Notes:

• "Stock" build except blocking ads (hosts file is replaced) and adding "H" (HSDPA) icon and battery % icon
• By default it is hastarin's EVO based kernel (support for PPP), but you can switch to N1 based kernel (support for RMNET) easily.
  Switch to RMNET by executing "conn_RMNET_with_michyprima_R11_AXI.sh" or "conn_RMNET_with_huanyu_HAVS-BFQ-OC-UV-AXI_925mv-0.1.d-n1.sh" in the GScript folder and then reboot.
  
  Switch to PPP by executing "conn_PPP_with_hastarin_r8.2_G-Sensor_Fix.sh" in the GScript folder and then reboot.
  
  Install "GScript Lite" from Android Market to execute these .sh files.
  E.g.: You will see the texts below if executing "conn_RMNET_with_michyprima_R11_AXI.sh" successfully.
  　 　 RMNET is ready.
  　 　 michyprima_R11_AXI is ready.
  　 　 Finished.
  　 　 Reboot required.
• Create 512 MB data.img (You can specify the different data image size in startup.txt)
• Rooted: superuser privileges (su and busybox) included
• Some apps included (Delete any apk files in the AndroidApps folder before first boot if you don't like any of them.)

What is working:

• WiFi
• GPS (works great. I got a location within 15 seconds.)
• 3G/HSDPA
• 5MP Camera with flash, auto focus and zooming
• Camcorder with flash
• LED status notification
• Keypad LED control
• Compass
• Bluetooth
• USB Mass Storage (Android cannot see the copied files before rebooting, but they're there.)
• WiFi Tethering/Hotspot (works with RMNET. For PPP, please install android-wifi-tether on Google Code)
• USB Tethering (Please install android-wired-tether on Google Code)
• Auto Backlight

Tips:

• Battery power consumption is about 5~7mA (less than 1% per hour) without SetCPU installed.
  
  • To my knowledge, the battery life is related to the WM ROM, radio version, and all the apps running in the background.
  
  
• By default the CPU is set to 245MHz ~ 998MHz with conservative.
• Turn off live wallpaper for better performance and battery life.
• Install LauncherPro for a smoother home screen.
• I have included the following apps in the AndroidApps folder, they will be installed at first boot:
  
  • DSPManager 1.0.apk
  • ES File Explorer 1.4.6.apk
  • Fancy Widget 1.3.0.apk (Time & Weather)
  • Superuser 2.3.6.1.apk
  • TeslaLED 2.0.4 Gala.apk
  
  
• About 3G/HSDPA:
  
  • The stock Nexus One ROM only shows 3G icon in the status bar no matter if you are in HSDPA or not.
  • You can check under "Settings > About phone > Status > Mobile network type". If it says HSDPA, you are on the 3.5G network ("H" Network).
  • With v1.3 and above, I have included FRG83_stockbar_add-on_H_icon_and_battery%_icon.zip in the "Android/root" folder.
    
    • If you don't like this add-on, please delete the folder named "root" located in the "Android" folder.

• Please install MoreLocale 2 from Android Market to enable more languages if needed.
• Please visit Nexus One Help website and try to find the answer when you encounter any software issues on NexusHD2-FRG83(D). Thanks.

Installation Instructions:

1. Extract the Android folder (with all files in in) to root of your SD Card. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
2. If you already have an Android folder on your SD Card DELETE IT OR RENAME IT, because this version MAY BE INCOMPATIBILE with older releases !!!
3. After copyng everything to your SD Card ensure you have at least 600 Mb free space for data store
4. After you have done all steps go into Android folder and tap CLRCAD (for working sound), and after that just tap HaRET.
5. On first run when there is "Creating a new datastore" just give it time to complete, and on first boot be patient and give it time to load everything.
6. If you get some strange errors, or Android does not work, try to reformat SD card and try everything from the start.
7. HD2 needs radio 2.08 or above to run Android. If you never upgrade your radio, you may not be able to run Android on HD2.

Endlich wieder ein aktuelles Build ohne Sense!!

Verfolge ich auch seit einiger Zeit. Hatte es kurz drauf: super schnell, aber kein WiFi Theater.
Ausserdem weiss ich nicht wie ich die Statualeiste schwarz bekommen soll... mir gefällt das weiß garnicht

ich liebe es auch .......ohne Sense zu leben
im moment hab ich BiffMod-HD2-v-1-2.....läuft gut....nur ausser wenn ich ans PC anschliesse als USB, dann rebootet der ANDROID komische weisse paar mal
Inet bricht ab und zu mal ab.....kann man aber mit leben

Welches ist den hier empfehlenswerter für Base/inet-flat ?? PPP oder RMNET ???

Das mußt Du selbst entscheiden. RMNET ist langsam aber stabil, PPP ist schnell, hat aber Aussetzer.

Bestes rom seit jetzt. Und endlich wieder non sense

Bis jetzt funktioniert alles ohne abstürze.. (selbst die "einrichtungsabstürze" kamen nicht vor)

Vielleicht eine dumme Frage, aber kann man Sense eigentlich im Nachhinein irgendwie hinzufügen?

Wie man bekanntlich weiß gibt es keine Dummen Fragen, nur dumme Antworten^^
Um diesen Post aber nicht ganz Off-Topic werden zu lassen: Nein, meines Wissens nach gibt es keine Möglichkeit im Nachhinein Sense zu installieren.

so, hab dieses Build mal installiert ... der erste Eindruck ist sehr gut - läuft flüssig und schnell. Auch die Kamera macht einen guten Eindruck. Alerdings vermisse ich schon jetzt den Cyanogen-Mod mit seinen schönen Einstellungen (hatte als letztes ShubCraft 2.0 DropMode) ... mal schauen, wie es sich so über den Tag bewährt ...

edit: so, mittlerweile läuft dasBuild schon ne Weile bei mir - alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden ... gps funktioniert wunderbar, keinerlei internet-probleme bisher, alles läuft super schnell und das display reagiert sehr schön, auch die Verzögerung die ich zB bei ShubCraft nach dem Telefonieren hatte (bis ich einen Anruf beenden konnte, bzw das Display wieder anging) gibt es hier nicht ... einzige haken: maps war daueraktiv und musste "gewaltsam" geschlossen werden - danach war auch der Stromverbrauch wieder top und ich bekomme keine wirklich scharfen fotos hin ... aber wie gesagt, ein sehr anständiges Build mit dem ich sehr zufrieden bin, auch wenn ich die eine oder andere CyanogenMod-Einstellung vermisse

Wer einen touch an sense in diesem build möchte kann sich ja launcher pro installieren und bei den xda dev die htc tastatur laden

das kannst du zB mit Titanium Backup erledigen - damit bekommst du alle "eingebauten" und auch Systemprogramme deinstalliert ...

Ich hab noch nen bug gefunden ...
Vll kann mir jemand diesen bestätigen.
Nach einem restart hab ich im standby immer so um die 7ma. Nach einiger zeit hab ich im standby bestenfalls 60ma (getestet mit currentwidget)

Das muß nicht zwingend ein Bug sein. Kommt drauf an, was Du für Apps installiert hast. Möglicherweise öffnest Du eine (oder das System öffnet sie nach einiger Zeit von selbst), die im Hintergrund aktiv ist/bleibt, und Strom frisst.

Einfach TasKiller einsetzen, bevor man sich in's Standby verabschiedet. Dann sollte sich das normalisieren.

bei mir lag das daran, dass google maps immer aktiv war?! auch wenn ich es mit nem Taskkiller beendet hab ... wenn ich aber über einstellungen-anwendungen-verwalten das stoppen von maps erzwinge, dann is wieder alles gut - eventuell ein problem der aktuellen maps version?!

Wenn ich das handy mit gps starte ist der verbrauch noch bei 5ma im standby. Sobald ich apps welche gps benutzen starte hab ich dann ca 60ma im standby. Abhilfe schafft gps auszuschalten bevor man in den standby wechselt.

Hat irgendjemand ne Ahnung, wie ich die Statusleiste oben schwarz bekomme?
Jetzt hab ich endlich die Config gefunden, die mir wirklich zusagt. Toll ich bin begeistert
läuft stabil, gps signal kommt bei mir zwar nicht in 15sek, aber immer noch schnell.
Fotoqualität ist auch super (für Schnappschüsse). Bis jetzt gibt es nichts, was ich im Gegensatz zu shubcraft vermisse.

also echt habs gerade mit meiner kleinen speicherkarte getestet und das build hat mich sowas von überzeugt das es jetzt auf die große gespielt wird.
dann mal navigon testen und musik aber ich denke das wird schon alles klappen.
vorallem die geschwindigkeit finde ich überragend echt klasse.

Heißt das, Du hast die Statusleiste schwarz bekommen? Falls ja, könntest Du sagen, wie?

Nein, ich hab sie nicht schwarz bekommen, dafür lasse ich sie einfach ausblenden.
Allerdings gibt es hier einen link da hast du dann das ganze build nochmal mit schwarzer Statusleiste. Das ist mir aber zuviel arbeit.
Aber wie gesagt ausblenden und fertig.

Das hier runterladen und entpacken. Die beiden Datein packst du dann auf deine SD Karte /Android/root/system/framework/framework-res.apk (also die vorhandenen Dateien ersetzen), neustarten und Tadaa!
sie ist schwarz.
