war am anfang auch sehr begeistert von seinen kernels, nur jetzt übertreibt er es einfach ... er will es einfach jeden recht machen, jeden noch so "sinnlosen" mist mitreinpatchen und das ganze wird dann nicht ausgibig getestet. die folge waren dann eben crashes, hangups, uv probleme, batterie drain und deep sleep probleme .... ausserdem kam ich nichtmal mehr über eine batterie ladung hinaus ohne das es wieder nen neuen kernel, hotfix oder sonst was gab.

falls wer ne alternative sucht, bin zur zeit sehr sehr zufrieden mit:

Kernel: Leankernel 2.2.0 (imoseyon)
Scaling: 350MHz-1200MHz
Governor: interactiveX v2 (hotplug enabled)
Undervolt: jeder slot ~150mV untervolted

Es sind ja noch Nightlys, aber trotzdem, ich werd den Kernel wohl auch einemal wechseln

naja, das stimmt schon nur man hat ja keine wahl da franco keinen "stable" branch hat ... alles was er patched oder testet kommt direkt in den kernel den ALLE leute updaten, und das ist halt nicht gerade vorteilhaft

und wenn man den kernel dann als alltagstauglich (for daily use) bezeichnet, sollte es halt eine gewisse stabilität geben was einfach nicht der fall war für die letzten paar releases.

naja, hoffen wir mal das sich das in zukunft ändern wird ...

Darum bin ich immer noch bei der #16.2

Ich habe auch zu lean kernel gewechselt läuft sehr schön im Moment. Wobei ich liebäugel auch immer wieder mit Glados oder faux.

* Removed autogroup and cgroups again - some croup options caused massive overhead and we don't need that kind of grouping crap in our device. Curious enough famous 13.1 had this options disabled as well
* Reduced wakeups from wifi and modem by half - imoseyon's idea
* Removed MPU register overrider - this will probably reduce some OC capabilities. The reason for this is to prepare this branch to be stable and leave this hacks for a future experimental branch
* Sound driver hacked - echo 15 > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/twl6040/boosted_volume for example increases your device max volume - courtesy of Greg (sorry didn't remember your XDA name)
* Some other minor tweaks and improvements

* Volume hack is set by 15 as default to prevent issues with very low volume inadvertently

* CIFS is gone too - according to nikademus explanation CIFS has a number of problems to us: if the device stays mounted somewhere it will kill your battery life to oblivion and two, it creates some extra memory footprint. I don't want any of that crap so CIFS is now removed and I won't probably add it again
* Security exploit from /fs/proc/base.c is now fixed
* Change ondemand up_threshold to 98 so it ramps up even less - more battery
* Revert "Proportional Rate Reduction for TCP - by Google" - This is a milestone build so we can't afford having data losses or data instability
* For everyone that tested nightly 19 this Milestone is exactly the same, but with stock GPU frequencies

* Frequency table re-worked to be fully multiple of 38,4 for perfect rounding
* Stock GPU clock - stability is everything in the Milestone releases

* Screen on battery usage is much reduced
* 700mhz as minimum frequency is now removed - I don't want to force users to use an higher minimum frequency, everyone is free to choose what they like to use
* Fix some higher IRQ load
* Stock colors - no more blueish color
* Added Sound Control from Ezekeel
* Add PM_FAST/PM_MAX userspace module - this is a nice toggle that is helpful if you want to stream media during screen off. If thats the scenario PM_FAST will give you a smooth experience during streaming on screen off.
* Lots of small tweaks and optimizations

Hab momentan den FrancoKernel installiert und bin zufrieden.
Das gibt dem JellyBean noch das Sahnehäubchen oben drauf von der Performance her

Find ich auch höre gerne musik ...und auch viel mit dem franco kernel auf musik mode gibts endlich mal voodoo sound feeling wenn nicht sogar besser ...endlich mal wums dahinter ;

stockt aber manchmal iwie .... govonor hab ich auf interactive .....hmm wie komme ich eigentlich wieder zum stock kernel von JB zurück ?

EDIT: auf powermod music hat er cpu nur auf 700 mhz gestellt deswegen stockts hab jetzt wieder auf 1300 gestellt jetzt läufts echt klasse....was war nochmal standart 1200 ?

EDIT2: Governor = ondemand CPU 1300 mhz und music control level auf +2 ....mein Nexus reagiert schneller als das s3 vom kollegen ist das normal ? oder muss ich mir sorgen machen ?

wenn der akku jetzt noch einigermassen normal hält ist das ja echt was wert hier.
