Keine Windows Mobile Geräte von Motorola in 2010

In einem Interview hat Motorolas Manager, des asiatischen Raums bestätigt, dass Motorola in diesem Jahr kein Gerät mit Windows Mobile entwickeln wird.

Zwar ist Motorola nicht sehr bekannt für ihre Windows Mobile Geräte, dennoch kommt nun das was viele befürchtet haben - Die ersten Hersteller springen ab und entwickeln (wohl wegen des nicht so gut verkäuflichem Windows Mobile 6.5) keine Windows Mobile Geräte mehr.

Als Alternative hat Motorola das immer stärker werdende Android gewählt und will seine Smartphones 2010 ausschließlich mit Googles Betriebssystem veröffentlichen.

There will be between 20 and 30 smartphones globally and, at this moment, all of them will run Android. Naturally, not all will be available everywhere as it depends on the company’s partnership with the various telco operators in each country. For non-smartphone models, they will run either Brew or the Motorola’s own operating system.
