[KERNEL][BETA] RAGEmod v1-T26

This kernel is based on Hardcore's SpeedMod K1-T26 Kernel

Why another kernel?? Because I can!

Features:

• support for SetCPU OC/UV (upto 1400MHz)
• support for Boot Animation
• support for BLN

• SpeedMod T26 initramfs + boot animation
• SpeedMod T25 kernel source patches (T26 patch not released at time of this build, probably not necessary for this build anyway)
• Vibration now working, including haptic.

The goal of this kernel is to take the battery savings gained from HardCORE's kernel and allow undervolting and underclocking to further improve battery life. I added Boot Animation and BLN support just because I could.

As usual, this kernel could break your hardware, so only flash if you are not concerned with bricking your device.

That said, I have flashed this kernel on my device and it still works.

Thanks also to the authors of Ninphetamine kernel - their SetCPU supporting code was the basis for the SetCPU support in this kernel, I have also used BLN code from their Git Repository, thanks to creams.

Future plans:

• Keep up with SpeedMod current releases as they happen and source patches are released.
• Build with version number! Outta time tonight!
• Build based on Samsung Update 2

Man kann sich gar nicht mehr entscheiden.

So viel unterschiedliche Kernel sind es ja gar nicht --- jedenfalls wenn man alle Speedmod-Derivate als einen zählt

Im Prinzip gibt es 3 Grundkernel, Speedmod, Ninanphetamine und Tegrak (Lulz).

o.k. wenn man jetzt CF Root dazu zählt, dann 4.

Wenn dieser Kernel hält, was er verspricht, ist er interessant -- das Beste aus speedmod und ninphetamin plus die lieb gewonnenen kernel mods (BLN, UC/OC/UV, CIFS etc.)... und der Autor legt im Gegensatz zum Jeffrey auch die Quellen offen...

den teste ich jetzt mal ein paar Tage...

Hab den Kernel mal drauf.Hab die BLN App installiert leider gehen die leds nur bei sms an.Und in der App an sich kann mans auch nicht einstellen das es bei verpassten Anruf auch geht.Oder geht es nur in der Donate Version?

Hab den Kernel mal auf meine kg2 geflasht.. UV funktioniert, meine Droidwall macht auch keine Probleme.. Akku bislang in Ordnung. Bln ist zwar nett, da ich das Handy aber eh immer in einer Tasche hab, seh ich das sowieso nicht

Das ist jetzt kein besonders qualifizierter Kommentar, aber der letzte Rage hat auf meinem SGS2 bis jetzt gefühlt das beste Akkuverhalten von allen Kernels --- sowieso besser als der Speedmod (wg. Undervolting vermute ich) aber auch besser als der ninphetamin mit dem gleichen Undervolting und glaub auch besser als der Jeffrey... wie gesagt, gefühlt

seit gestern 14:00 normal genutzt und noch knapp 50% Akku

hab, glaub ich, seit dem Kernelwechsel auch sonst nix wesentliches am Telephonsetup geändert und bin daher bereit, das gute Akku-Abschneiden auf den Kernel zu schieben...

Allerdings fühlt sich das Telephon etwas träger an als mit dem Original Speedmod.

Benchmarks habe ich damit keine (noch nie mit irgendeinem Phone, wenn ich ehrlich bin) gemacht

BLN ist für mich genau so unnütz wie wie deepflash geschrieben hat.

Wenn ich es höre o.k. wenn nicht dann halt nicht und das hat dann auch seinen Grund. Sitzung, Kundenbesuch, etc. etc. da brauche ich kein geblinke an meinem Natel.

So dann geb ich auch mal meinen senf zu dem kernel

Hab in jetzt seit 3Tagen drauf und bin begeistert

Für mich aktuell der sparsamste und stabilste Kernel

Zu bln kann ich nichts sagen nutze ich nicht

Nachdem ich den Kernel nun einige Tage drauf hab nochmal ein Feedback von mir.
Läuft soweit alles stabil, von der Akkuleistung war ich beim Thunderbolt Kernel aber mehr angetan.
Wenn ich da nur nicht das Problem mit meiner Droidwall hätte..

Welche SetCPU-Einstellungen hast du?

200 - 800
500 - 850
800 - 950
1000 - 1050
1200 - 1150
Mhz - mV

Lange getestet sind bei meiner cpu für jede frequenz die minimum stable werte

Scaling ondemand

Kernel version immernoch v2-t27 war zu faul zum updaten und große Änderungen gabs seid dem ja eh nicht

hab ihn schon paar tage laufen und bin sehr zufrieden, gute akkulaufzeit, bln und custom bootanimation, keine probleme

das ist immer das problem mit den threads... sollten halt aktuell gehalten werden.

hab den auch laufen momentan und sogar ziemlich undervoltet....bisher ok.
