Hi guys,

This is the SpeedMod kernel for Android ICS for the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100.

This kernel only works with Samsung ICS based ROMs.

SpeedMod's core features are:
- Super stable: No undervolting, overclocking or potentially unstable modifications
- Fast and smooth: Compiler and code optimizations
- Excellent battery life: Remove unecessary logging and debugging

Current features:

Root and CWM:
- Automatically installs root (su) but can be disabled
- CWM recovery 5.x

Screen and misc tweaks:
- init.d, TUN, CIFS, IPV6 Privacy support

Performance:
- CPU governor tweaks: increase responsiveness
- IO tweaks
- Read ahead tweaks
- Compiled with optimizations using Linaro GCC toolchain
- Switched to SLAB instead of SLUB
- Multi-core aware scheduler SCHED_MC

Turned off unnecessary logging for better smoothness and efficiency:
- Disabled Android Debug Logger / logcat
- Disabled Samsung debug
- Disabled various kernel debugging, statistics and tracing options

Jaaa endlich. Mein lieblings GBkernel jetzt auch auf ICS .

Wenn ich im recovery gehe, zeigt mir nicht cwm recovery sondern standart auswahl. Was kann ich da machen?

Er schreibt doich noch kein CWM bisher ist halt noch sehr früh, schade hatte gehofft meinen aktuellen ersetzen zu können, aber da muss ich noch warten.

naja, wenn man cwm momentan braucht flasht man halt den cf schnell.
und akkuaussagen lieber mal abwarten!

für mich ganz klar ist speedmod erste wahl, wie immer.

aber gut das man es sich ja raussuchen kann

Yepp... der SpeedMod ist einfach zu gut, als dass er der Community länger als unbedingt nötig vorenthalten werden darf...

Apropos gut: Du kurvst auch auf dem MerlinBoard rum, stimmts (habe seit November ne dm7020hd mit Merlin-Image und dort zumindest Deinen Avatar entdeckt)?

seht gutes board... alles spitzenleute.

hab den Speedmod über die neue Goa 4.2 geflasht. Unter Punkt Goa Einstellungen-Backup kommt jetzt "CWM Version nicht unterstützt";
wenn ich direkt die CWM app starte kommt folgeden Meldung: "This Version of cwm manager should be used with CF-Root 5.0 or newer. It appears you are running a different kernel. Various features have been disabled."

Kommt da noch ein update des Kernels, dass das wieder kompatibel ist?

Kam beim ersten Start auch bei mir.
Hab es dann noch mal gestartet und SuperUser wollte eine Bestätigung.
Jetzt läuft gerade das Backup durch.
