AW: [Kernel] Dorimanx 8.13 (Stock/AOSP) / 9.13 (nur AOSP-ROMs!) [Update: 04.04.13]

Kernel_Siyah-Dorimanx-V8.14-JB-SGII-PWR-CORE:
CWM: http://dorimanx.shine.sk/kernels-jb-...I-PWR-CORE.zip
Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Voku updated Interactive CPU gov and enabled it. (need to test!)
*Voku updated/Ported many system code and ROW I/O sched tuning.
*Voku Ported and Tuned and reconstructed new CPU HOTPLUG code,
it's name is Inteli Hotplug, originally made by Faux123 for his OMAP device.
this new driver will help to save more power and give us nice performance.
*Voku Ported 3.0.72+73 Main Stream patch's.
*Voku Tuned cortex and profiles to mach new drivers.
*Updated to latest Linaro 13.03 kernel builder.
*Added new EDS module to allow using EDS paid/lite app to encrypt data on your device, module can be loaded via app or via STweaks.
*Allowed to use 1450mV for 520Mhz GPU freq.
*Equalized last CPU chip Voltage table (number 1) to have same CPU voltage as others!
We have 4 different CPU chips all over the world in same device! now all will have same voltage, this will allow higher OC and better battery save for all.
*Added +25mv to 1500mhz and 1600mhz for all chips. to give more stability.
*Updated many CORE and MEM code from 3.9.y kernel.
*Updated many SYSTEM code from 3.9.y kernel.
*Updated many CPU and SMP code from 3.9.y kernel.
*Added auto read ahead tweak, based on sdcard size!
*Updated INIT boot from latest CM-Kernel for 10.1 based ROMS.
*Cleaned old standard hotplug settings and script code.
*Added some STweaks better descriptions in BLN.
*Limited battery charge mA to 650mA, we cant get more any way, hardware limit! no way to have MORE, so 700mA was actually 650, and we can have MIN of 450mA so no need to ask to set lower, it's will not work.

AW: [Kernel] Dorimanx 8.14 (Stock/AOSP) / 9.14 (nur AOSP-ROMs!) [Update: 16.04.13]
Keine Ahnung was das soll.

AW: [Kernel] Dorimanx 8.14 (Stock/AOSP) / 9.14 (nur AOSP-ROMs!) [Update: 16.04.13]

PhilZ Kernel v4.93.6 (Odin-Version): http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...13662788298612
DorimanX Kernel v8.14 (CWM): http://dorimanx.shine.sk/kernels-jb-...I-PWR-CORE.zip

AW: [Kernel] Dorimanx 8.14 (Stock/AOSP) / 9.14 (nur AOSP-ROMs!) [Update: 16.04.13]

[Update: 16.04.13]
@ultrawien
Sehr gerne :D.

we have added more then 550 commits to this version! all from 3.10.Y kernel!
amount of code is:
959 files changed, 40623 insertions(+), 61044 deletions(-)
officially we now have kernel 3.7.Y+ and parts from 3.10.y
for now i cant declare it above 3.4.y, as some ROMS will not boot or stuck without reason after boot, tested by me and alucard! same result.
so we stay with version number 3.1.0 for now, its just version http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...lies/smile.gif
but it's checked by ROM code and something is changed, no idea what.
Change Log:
INITRAMFS:
- New nightmare gov configuration by Alucard and descriptions fix.
- Fixed start of UKSM, now works as should and save power when screen is OFF.
- Tuned Random cache config, to boost on wakeup, set to normal on wake mode, and set to low on sleep to save battery! (it's the Entropy tweak)
- Reworked all STweaks XML file and reduced 300 lines to speed up a little STweaks load and fixed bugs in XML.
- Pulled new updates from latest CM-Kernel for ROM INIT and ADB.
- Set min boot cpu speed to 800Mhz to allow heat reduce.
- Removed BFQ I/O gov, it's not supported any more, after merges with 3.10.y source. (it's was made for spinning disks, and we have SSD, so it's was waste of RAM)
- Fixed the DATA/CACHE clean function, now it's will clean the partition without killing it, still this is dangerous function, it's may force you to reinstall ROM or reinstall lost apps that found to be damaged and broken.
- Fixed some small typos and partition mounting bugs.
Kernel:
- Pulled updates for RCU, CPU, ARM, CORE, MEM, IRQ, KERNEL, FS, SECURITY, IDR, TIME, CGROUPS, BLUETOOTH from 3.10.y kernel! this was the HUGE updates pull, see git for all info! there are 15 pages from 9.16 to 9.17
- Alucard fixed and tuned Nightmare gov, now it's working very good and stable!
- Voku added lowmemkill changes and updated ROW I/O gov.
- I have reverted all NOTE8 MALI video updates! and made SYNC with original maliV2 source code + all the cool stuff by GM and CM. + full sync with latest UMP(memory processor) code from latest MaliV4 driver source! In kernel 9.17 we now have only MALIV2 driver! ROMS with old video driver no longer supported! use 8.17 for STOCK ROMS and for old JB ROMS. ICS(4.0.x) ROMS are not supported long time now, so dont try. 8.17 Kernel received all updates from 9.17 for video driver, only to CM/AOKP driver, STOCK ROM video driver remain as was.
- I have set CPU cut to 800Mhz when TEMP is 70C and release to MAX when TEMP is below 65C now when we stress the device it's HOT but has much more power then before! (no power without heat! so dont cry about it) if you dont OC then phone is cool.
- Voku added patch to 3.0.77 from main stream.(updates are from 3.10.y= main stream!)
- Tuned ZZMOOVE CPU Gov.
- Updated Android Binder, Logger and Ashmem from 3.10.y to MAX possible! saved 1.5MB total ram and fixed a lot of bugs!
this is mega test kernel! but it's stable and working good!
also battery is saved not bad, and performance at top (when not HOT(above 70c then cpu at 800Mhz! but cool down and kick again!)

Bug-Fixes:
- Bluetooth now working as should with STOCK ROMS. also improved for others.
- STweaks profiles now OK, if not report.
Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Alucard improved/fixed Nightmare CPU gov + corrections in STweaks and profiles.
*I have fixed BT driver, now all ok.
*Ported all latest updates to TIME, RCU, WORKQUEUE, KTREAD, CPU TICK,
from 3.10.y Kernel.
*I have tuned and added Touch screen config for MX224E touch screens!
Now you can check what type of touch screen you have, and tune it till you happy! see SCREEN tab in Stweaks!
*Tuned RANDOM cache, now will not use high CPU on wakeup.
Have Fun and TEST.

CWM: http://dorimanx.shine.sk/kernels-jb-...I-PWR-CORE.zip
Bug-Fixes:
- new updates to ARM and Freezer from DEV Francisco Franco!
Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Fixed and tuned MX224E touch screen + default STweaks settings.
*Increased the dirty_ratio/background_ratio to 70/35 to speed up ROM operations using free RAM, now we have good RAM manager code, so no problem.
*Ported updates to ARM, Freezer, BLOCK, TIMER, and to ondemand + hyper.
Now deep sleep should be good, as kernel will wakeup less during deep sleep, and save more power.
have fun and report about BUGS, and how mx224e touch screen works!

I have found some errors in both builds and fixed them.
Also we now have the latest WIFI driver from SG4 device source tree (Modded by CodeWorks and Me).
Wifi ver: 1.61.47 (massive update)
we had : 1.28.19
Change Log:
- Pulled updates to main kernel code from 3.10.y kernel.
- Pulled new WIFI driver from SG4 Source + my mods to save power.
- Alucard tuned/fixed/added updates to Nightmare Gov.
- I have removed Interactive CPU GOV from system, it's was unstable.
- I have added code fix to all active CPU govs, that improve stability and performance
- I have removed some old hacks to allow new code to work as should.
- I have cleaned logs from debug alerts, (need more work on some more cleaning)
- Upgraded LINARO to 13.4 GCC 4.7.3 kernel builder.
- Merged lost Sammy functions to video drivers and UMP from SAMMY kernel and from older code from backups.
Video working great and Smooth! even little more FPS on heavy load. - Tuned Kernel flags optimization, removed dangerous mods. better safe than stuck! (and little less score on bench apps) but you will not see the difference.
- I have found not matching code in 8.XX branch, that exist in 9.XX branch, seems i missed update, i have merged all that needed, this should restore stability.

AW: [Kernel] Dorimanx v8.22 (Stock/AOSP) / v9.22 (nur AOSP-ROMs!) [Update: 25.05.13]

Kernel_Siyah-Dorimanx-V8.22-JB-SGII-PWR-CORE:
CWM: http://dorimanx.shine.sk/kernels-jb-...I-PWR-CORE.zip
Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Pulled small updates from 3.10.y to logger and MEM.
*Tuned Kernel flags as instructed by CPU designer.
*Removed old annoying debug logs from dmesg about mmc timeout on boot and wakeups, it's not relevant and was there in CM7 days...
*Removed Dynamic Touch mod + cleaned touch screen driver.
*Alucard Cleaned Nightmare Gov from unused functions and made some changes in GOV operation code.
*I have removed experimental function that may bugged wifi/radio for some users.
*I have tuned our EXT4 partitions (DATA + CACHE) to have faster I/O access using data_writeback mode instead of data_ordered and set special flag to protect our data, as we dont know when our device can stuck or lost power,
so our data is more save now.
First boot from LOGO to ROM anim can take longer, as kernel change the journal type in data and cache partition, so just WAIT.
For now i didnt change WIFI driver, it's working great for me, but some changes above can fix it for all that have problem to detect networks.
If still no GO, i will do something about it.
This is still BETA test, i need to know how it's working, before we get to STABLE kernel.

Kernel 8.23 + 9.23 Online for TESTING!
Ok this is very big update! so far works for me, need to test longer and byt many!
Change Log:
- Voku updated with 3.0.79/80 main stream patches!
- Voku ported new updates to inteli hotplug controller
- Voku ported many new updates to RAM locking system code! from 3.10.y
- Voku ported Freezer and CPU idle code that fix some bugs we had!
- Voku ported code to speedup the LSD wakeup after long sleep, and yes it's more faster now
- Voku ported IRQ updates from 3.10.y
- I have set CPU voltage to 5 main critical freqs as with SAMMY/CM kernel for all CPU groups! (we have 4 in the world!)
So now freqs 1200,1000,800,500,200 will have +-25 or 50mv depend on your CPU type/voltage group!
to have the voltage as was in last 7 kernels you can activate the main switch in CPU voltage tab in stweaks, but i dont advice to do so. stock voltage was set not by one DEV, it's was set by the CPU manufacture. - I have tuned OOM low mem kill to work on killing ram hungry apps even on sleep, to prevent SODS from low ram, and auto load apps not stop till kernel die. now we give them a fight. (slight battery use can be seen on sleep) all depend on your skills to shut the junk apps from auto load all the time.
- I have pulled all new updates to RAM/Kernel/ARM code from 3.10.y
- I have upgraded the Entropy generator code (random.c) to MAX from 3.10.y + some hacks to speed up the usage.

After long long tests and digs, i have reverted big part of code from 9.17 the first unstable kernel after some good and stable 9.16
So for now i see that system working good and fast, no hangs yet, and i made very heavy tests to kill device. need more users to test!
but as always we added more good stuff
Kernels 8.17 to 8.23 deleted, same for 9.xx (all have SOD bug!)
Change Log:
- Reverted part of code that added in 9.17 and SODS start.
- Removed some old code that may be broken for our updated kernel tree.
- Pulled full update to Android mem binder from 3.10.y
- Pulled updates to IRQ and CPU code
- Voku fixed battery driver to work as should on low battery situation.
- Voku found good update to CPU Tick code, and i merged it.
- Voku found new update to ZZMOOVE CPU gov, and i merged it + cool mods!
- Alucard made some improvements to Nightmare Gov + some cleanups.
- I have made full sync to lowmemkill driver from 3.10.y and allowd to mod ADJ grouping, they no longer set by auto. need to chmod the adj file, it's 0444 now.
(Read only) (no need to change it. all ok as is) - I have updated SRCU and Async to max from 3.10.y
- Made Config sync with new CM-KERNEL and made some fix to WIFI driver, should work ok for all now.

Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Fixed Slide2Wake bug that was holding touch screen active in call and we could hangup the call by cheek not any more! so i have enabled the mod in performance profiles.
*Alucard fixed all active govs to operate with hotplug and remove there stuff from ram when we change from gov to gov in cortex or by hand.
Now all fixed and working great!
*Fixed small bugs in INIT scripts and cortex script.
*Added new updates to logging system we have max update from 3.10.y!
effect dmesg and logcat and last_kmsg
*Fixed random reboots! and small lags.
*Added button in CPU voltage tab to check CPU voltage Group, if your CPU is Number 1 or 2, you must have more voltage on each freq to be stable! it's not my fault that your CPU is hungry for power! read the description!
*Updated the WIFI driver, some users may now get it working as should.
*Removed some junk logs from kernel messages.
*Added new Kernel debug log that generate LAST KERNEL LOG before phone STUCK or Rebooted! so now you can show us what was the problem! and we can try to solve it. read the button description in Stweaks Debug tab.
*Fixed missing symlink in SAMMY roms config that prevented some apps to find the external sdcard and write some stuff there, now will be OK.
*Big_Bun fixed the kernel check button in Stweaks, now works for all roms!
*Tuned RAM tuning to give more smooth performance in expense of free RAM.
we have good OOM service that will take care of things.
*Ported Dynamic File System Sync code from Faux123! now filesystem will be in sync when we turn off the screen, so it's speed up the I/O, also will be auto in sync at reboot or kernel panic!
*Fixed big SDCARD initialization problem, and set reasonable timeout in driver.
This may fix some SODS if using BIG sdcards that have low quality. (crappy cards! )
*Restored Power savers to reduce power drain on sleep/awake.

Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
x.25 kernels removed! possible data lose from broken SYNC with FSYNC mode from faux123 (Removed in X.26 version)
*Removed FSYNC by faux123 to prevent data lose.
*Fixed HOTBOOT possibility. its was broken. some apps can HOTBOOT our device, now they work.
*Pulled updates to SMP and ARM Kernel from 3.10.y
*I have set all Voltage Groups Tables as set in SAMMY Kernel Source!
now each group have there own voltage, and you can see it in STweaks! there is no more DEFAULT voltage,
every CPU use one of 1,2,3,4,5 voltage groups, and voltage selected for it.
New interface will allow to mod your own CPU group voltage!
I hope to prevent SODS with this change.
*Added EXT2 support as set in SAMMY Kernel source.
*Fixed blank box in CPU voltage group after some time, now will show any time.
Group will never change for your device! it's hardware related! nothing i can do.

Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
Vorwort:
Me, Alucard and Voku tested this kernel for days! and it's STABLE!
Now it's your turn
*Alucard made big updates to Nightmare gov and it's great! will be set as main in next release! so please test it as much as possible!
*Voku ported bug fix to boost performance, not much but nice to have.
*I have ported big part of new code for CPUFREQ that control all CPU GOVS,
*I have tuned profiles and RAM tuning in STWEAKS.
*I have Fixed Slide2Wake holding touch screen ON V2!
please wait 3sec after screen is OFF before trying to hangup touching the location of hangup button when TESTING!!!
in real life all will be OK now. no hangups (all this only if using slide2wake mod.)
*I have re-tuned and ported more updates to all CPU GOVS from 3.10.y kernel.
not much but the good parts.
*Restored CPU cutoff Temp to 65c = reduce to 800Mhz at 61c=restore full power!
(this is default SAMMY setting! maybe some CPU chips cant handle 70c that was set before, and SOD!)
*I have set Voltage Group 4 AS Group 3 should be more stable now.
*I have added + 25mV to all freqs in CPU Group !5!, to get more stability.
*Tuned CPU freq latency to reduce lags and make system more smooth when switching CPU freqs, it's all in nano secs, so it's only noticed by CPU. (our brain is too slow to notice!)
*Restored kernel FLAGS as we had in 9.16 that was GOOD.
*Reduced DEBUG, and added more RCU STALL checks, that will print more data in logs in time of BUG/CRASH!
*Upgraded Kernel DogWatcher code to MAX, to allow more controlled operations, and reboot in case something STUCK hard!
*Made some changes and reverts to Android Binder code.
*Removed last updates to WIFI driver, that was pulled from other kernel,
WIFI works fine, no problems, and no toggle problems!
*Added Video code change by CM-TEAM to all GPU drivers. (SAMMY/CM/AOKP)
*Tuned partition mounting options, to be set as instructed for data-writeback mode in EXT4.
have fun testing!
And DO backup, before any usage!
I feel sorry for people that loose things that cant be restored.
So dont make me sad. BACKUP!!! to your PC/LAPTOP all that you care about!

AW: [Kernel] Dorimanx v8.27 (Stock/AOSP) / v9.27 (nur AOSP-ROMs!) [Update: 02.06.13]

[Update: 02.06.13]
@chrischaan

After long days of working on kernel, we are ready for mass test!
Here we go
New Kernel has fresh Google Android RAM code from 3.9.RC7
That bring stability and missing code for android.
Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Found and fixed LOW Memory BUG that was killing kernel and ROM = SOD!
*Updated MALIv2 Driver with NOTE8 updates pulled from CM-KERENL (again but modified this time!)
*Allowed to use 24MB cache for video driver MALIv1+v2! so graphic power is great! and system stable on heavy games!
*Alucard modded all CPU GOVS and made BIG improvement in operations, and switching from one to another, cleaning all used RAM, after switch, to prevent memory leaks.
*Alucard made GREAT update to lowmemory killer code, now this system cant kill any of the Android services as radio, wifi, drm, media, system, root! only APPS can be killed to free RAM, + i have upgraded and tuned LMK code from Android kernel 3.9.RC7, and now ADJ groups are dynamic again! + modded all OOM profiles.
*I have pulled Watchdoc updates from Android Source, to support checking for stuck service in sec CPU and much more.
*Updated SuperSU to 1.30 by ChainFire for all SAMMY ROMS.
*I have enabled ZRAM in Performance profiles, to help with heavy RAM loads,
Can be disabled if not playing games.
*Alucard Fixed STweaks XML and added more tuning for GOVS.
*I have fixed small BUGS in INIT and Cortex and disabled SCHED tuning, best to give kernel to auto set all as needed.
*Tuned Dirty ratio as tuned in Advanced Android Kernel!
*Allowed to use MIN voltage on GPU 900mV was 950mV.
*Added ifconfig symlink.
*Tuned CPU voltage for Group 5
*Set sysrq to 2 to prevent access to dangerous functions by broken or VIRUS apps that kill phone by setting READ ONLY to DATA! and this = DEAD PHONE! in seconds! TNX Voku!
*Cleaned old CORE code to calculate CPU mask, it's dead code, long time ago. and more JUNK wiped from system.
*We have FRANDOM code(external experimental code), but it's was not used,
so for now i have converted it to module! and it's can be loaded IF you find what to do with it!
I dont need it to waste RAM by doing nothing!
*Pulled updates to MMC code from SG3 Kernel update 9.
*For now i didnt reverted WIFI driver in 8.x branch! need to see if OK now!
Driver working GREAT.
After some tests i have found that CPU score that i was getting (above 8000+) was not kernel depended!
ROM that i was using was from RootBox-JB-i9100-Unofficial-20130602-fusionjack
I dont know what he did! but it's free the CPU to have full power!
But ROM was unstable! UI crash and more...
So i am back to ROOTBOX V4.0 and CPU score is back to normal...
This only show us that ROM can reduce junk activity and release CPU from useless load all the time...
or it's just was ONE BIG BUG.. no idea.
OK Have fun testing!

Kommentar zur neuen 28-Version von @Phil:
As we now have Android Google 3.9.RC7 Kernel Source! we drain it's parts and merge our kernel with them, so one day we will have full 3.9.Y kernel for SG2. This kernel (X.29) should wipe all the LOW RAM Sods! as it's was retuned to be very strong in MEM management.
Changelogs (Kernels have same changes):
*Tuned Kernel OOM profiles and allowed to disable AUTO OOM if external App is used to manage OOM, see Memory TAB in STweaks.
No need to set Aggressive OOM any more, only if you want that.
*Alucard Fixed Nightmare CPU gov and now it's very stable and very strong!
All checked as Awake gov and as Sleep Gov, and all OK.
*Alucard Added new function in Lowmemkiller code, to protect Launcher, Contacts, Media.server, systemui
from been killed on LOW RAM condition, other apps killed, but not the Android main services and not the System critical apps.
*Voku restored Good function to reduce kernel cleaning service activity when there is no need.
*I have tuned the watchdog service to monitor the system but not PANIC,
so we will see in LOGS why system crashed, in case it's will happen.
*I have updated LOOP code that responsible of moving apps to SD, and maintain and mount them, source 3.9.rc7
*I have merged new RAM code updates from 3.10.y
*I have merged some INIT/FS/KERNEL code from Android 3.9.rc7 see GIT.
*I have tuned ZRAM operations and reduced CPU usage when ZRAM work.
also reduced kernel size, and that can FIX the WIFI toggle bug on some OLD SAMMY base ROMS.
*I have tuned kernel -> systems + filesystem + cache + ram operations.
*Updated with 3.0.81 Main Stream patch.
*Cleaned/Fixed code in Cortex Script, and other STweaks buttons scripts, as clean cache and zram stats.
*I have set swappiness to 40 to prevent high ZRAM swap usage without need.
*Possible fix for music shatter on screen OFF/ON maybe not 100% fix, need to check.
*Removed Support for B2G and Sense4All ROMS Types! i don't think any one use that, so seems to be JUNK = DELETE!
*Tuned the Entropy cache back to normal, it's working good, as we have full merge with 3.10.y kernel for this driver,
so it's much better then in STOCK kernel.
*Pulled RCU updates from 3.10.y kernel.
OK, now please test and report,
I have made many test with heavy GPU bench that required 250~300MB RAM to start, and only after all tunings and Alucard help,
tests passed without single glitch.
This tells me, that now EVERY game should work perfect without STUCK.
have fun! and thanks for donations, i will update OP table
