How To Install?

Change Icons threw Icon Changer Software
Use one of this programs:

Changing the Icon:
-long press on an item to popup the context menu and click Change Icon. A picture browser will show up for you to browse for an PNG image.
System Requirements:
- Must have .NET 3.5 Compact Framework Installed
- Windows Mobile 6.5

- Changing/Removing the Icon
- Can create New Folder
- Saving/Loading Themes
- Sorting Start Menu Programs
- Register shortcut files
- Changing the Animated Bootup Screen (the 2nd bootup screen)

Change Start Menu Icons (CSMI)
This program lets you change icons for programs in start menu and then, of course, in the quick links on the home screen. You can associate any PNG image (with transparency also) to any program in start menu: works both for applications AND folders. You can also reset* the original icons if you wish.

Change Icons threw Registry Editor
01. Open Registry Editor and go to HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start.
02. Inside HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start we'll look for a key with the exact name as your shortcut, in our case Google Maps.lnk (full path: HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\GoogleMaps.lnk).
04. Change the value of Icon string to "\Program Files\GoogleMaps\icon.png" (which is our example case, but paths and icon file names can vary according to your liking).
06. Prefer clearing HTC Sense's icon cache.
07. Go to your Device's \Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher Folder and delete all the *.bmg files inside. These are icon caches that will be recreated upon next boot.
08. Restart

Troubleshooting Help!

If some Icons still the same after Restart?
01. Prefer clearing HTC Sense's icon cache.
Go to your Device's \Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher Folder and delete all the *.bmg files inside. These are icon caches that will be recreated upon next boot.
03. Delete All Old Icons from the Quick Links Menu in Manila.
04. Restart

If by clearing HTC Sense's icon cache, the Icons still doesn't change?
01. If you try to use a custom icon which have the same filename of one of the images found in \Windows then Manila will always load that original instead of your customized one!
In order to easily fix the problem, just rename your icon .png (Not that one in \Application Data\HTC\ProgLauncher).
02. Delete All Old Icons from the Quick Links Menu in Manila.
03. Restart
04. And change it again in Icon Changer (To the renamed .png file).
P.S.: This bug affects ONLY manila, therefore in the start menu everything will look fine BUT in the Home Screen you will always have the original icon!
05. Restart

If the Icon don't shows up in Icon Changer, so you cant change it from there?
01. Go to \Windows\Start Menu.
02. Duplicate (Copy & Paste) your .lnk (that don't shows up in IC).
03. Open again Icon Changer. The Icon now should be viewable.
04. Change the Icon.
05. Go again to \Windows\Start Menu.
06. Delete your Original .lnk and rename Your New .lnk to what you whant.
07. Restart

ganz vergessen @Dinik, das ist vermutlich eine der hübschesten icon sets die ich bisher in all den foren gesehen habe. sollte sich auch apfel mal ne scheibe von abschneiden :). würde das glatt mal an HTC schicken.
ich selber habe das nur kurz installiert weil ein paar icon trotz aller tips sich einfach nicht ändern lassen wollten und unvollständig sieht es dann nicht mehr so prall aus. und via CAB ließen sich nur die icons unter start bei mir ändern. hatte auch dabei alles versucht. die links auf dem hometab raus geschmissen und dann neu verlinkt etc aber alles nichts gebracht, hatte es dann von hand per csmi gemacht.

ich sehe gerade, wofür is das krümelmonster ? nen setup für was von cookimonster?

Aber einige Icons (z.B. Digitaler Kompass, Kamera) sind nur im Start Menü geändert aber wenn ich die im Cookie Tab Menü 1,6 reinziehen will, werden nur die alten Standard Icons angezeigt.

Problem steht eventuell oben unter den zweiten Schritt. Bennene mal die Icons um und ordne sie mit CSMI zu. Dann natürlich wieder ProgLauncher löschen und neu starten.

Hidihoo Dinik, ein paar Bierchen sind gerade auf dem Weg zu Dir, Proooooooooost!!

nutze auf meinem Anja schon deine HD2 icons, würde nun gerne wechseln, benötige aber noch ein paar zusätzliche icons, könntest Du mir nen "jungfräulichen" Icon zukommen lassen, dann patsch ich mir die fehlenden Symbole selbst rein...

@dinik: Danke für den Link. Jetzt werden alle Icons richtig im Tab Menü angezeigt.
Um den Hotfix zu Installieren musste ich erst nochmal ein Soft Reset machen da er sonst eine Fehlermeldung angezeigt hat.

schöne Arbeit leistest du da...einen Wunsch hätte ich allerdings.

Ein leeres Icon bitte, nur den Rahmen und den inneren Effekt, wenn das möglich wäre als *.png

Dann könnte ich zB meine Favoriten da einsetzen um ein Einheitliches Bild zu bekommen ;)

Das wäre prima.

glaub taschenlampe is schon bei. habs nicht installiert aber ich meine dass ichs bei den icons gesehen hab.

habs auch in den screenshots anderer user gesehen, in der .cab oder .rar is aber nix dabei

danke für diese umwerfenden Icons gefallen mir sehr.
Jedoch gibt es noch ne Menge Icons die Fehlen.
Hab mal 3 Screens gemacht, kannst dir ansehen was so fehlt an Icons :)

Es wir kein template geben! Ich gebe meine grafiken nicht her...nicht weil geizig bin oder so =) ...ich will nicht das meine icon an qualität verlieren...weill jeder sein ding machen kann...obs gut oder nicht!
warte bishen und es kommt schon bald ein update mit neuen icons ;)

Diniks Wunsch entsprechend werde ich es NICHT veröffentlichen! Habe mir aber ein eigenes erstellt um meine Favoriten zu markieren.

Kann nicht jemand zufällig kurze zusammenfassung schreiben wie sowas zb mit Photoshop/gimp zu bewerkstelligen ist ??

Wollt mir eigentlich auch gern schnell meine fehlenden icons zusammenstellen, leider hab ich von photoshop oder gimp keine ahnung.

Wäre es möglich so ne statusleiste in diesem design zu machen, a la slider, also ich meine die leiste, mit batterieanzeige, windows logo etc..finde die gehört generalüberholt^^
