[ROM] Virtuous Sensation v2.x.x :: Enhanced/Optimized Stock ROM (1.73.401.2)

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe gestern das Virtuous Rom installiert und bin begeistert.
Es läuft schnell, stabil und schont vor allem den Akku.

Zuvor hatte ich das Revo Rom installiert und war, aufgrund der Akkulaufzeit und der schlechten Geschwindigkeit, enttäuscht.
Zudem muss man nicht, wie beim Revo Rom, dauernd neue Updates einspielen.

Ich werde es weiter testen und hier berichten.
Anbei die Daten von xda:

Aktuelle Version: 2.2.3

Features:
Based off the official Sensation ROM (WWE 1.73.401.2), deodexed and zipaligned.

Pre-rooted with the latest version of Superuser and modified ramdisk to allow adb remount, mock locations, etc.

Enhanced reboot options built-in, allowing for booting into recovery, bootloader, hot boot, etc.

Bricked kernel with overclocking daemon (no need for SetCPU/Tuner). Screen Off: 192000 / 1188000 (conservative). Screen On: 192000 / 1512000 (ondemand).

IO optimizations including the use of ext4 with writeback journaling for all mounts and larger read-ahead buffer for improved sdcard performance.

Updated versions of all Market-available apps.

All Market-installable apps installed in /data/app. These apps are automatically installed for you both on initial install and after a factory reset/wipe. There are custom scripts to use Android's package manager (pm) to manage these apps, which ensures they are installed properly.

Bloatware, defined as anything you could easily choose to download from the Market yourself, has been removed.

Advanced quick settings, allowing for the configuration of options listed in this tab.

Overscroll glow effect, tastefully done using white, to match any theme or background.

The popular CRT off animation. We have intentionally omitted CRT on, as Sense 3.x provides impressive power on animations itself.

Customized camera application with bitrate selection and support for using mp4 containers.

Several custom themes, including Slate3D (CypiS), AmazingSense (CypiS), Revolution (he_stheone64) and Honey3D (he_stheone64).

Automated battery calibration. Just plug your phone in after a wipe and charge it to full (preferably overnight), then let our script do the rest.

Over the air updates via ROM Manager.

Super entscheidung, habe nun auch alles mögliche an ROMs getestet und bin am ende nun doch beim Virtuous hängen geblieben...
keine lags, keine screenfehlern bei bestimmten widgets usw usw....

Hach ! ich mach mir einfach mein eigenes Rom :D Ein Freund und ich kochen grad ein Rom zusammen :D

hier noch ein tweak der die UI performance nochmals spürbar verbessert: mit root explorer geht ihr ins auf die sensationen partition und dort /system und öffnet dort die build.prob mit einem text editor.
Hier fügt ihr diese zwei Zeilen ganz am Schluss ein:

windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
debug.sf.hw=1

vergewissert euch aber das es diese einträge nicht schon gibt, sonst heben sie sich gegenseitig auf und es kann zu problemen kommen. Einfach gut durchlesen und wenn diese einträge schon vorhande sind aber mit anderen werten, einfach abändern!

So, ich hab das Rom jetzt auch installiert und bislang läuft es sehr performant und ohne Probleme. Der Benchmark ergab eben 2400 Punkte

Ich hab's seit gestern Abend drauf - sehr zufrieden. Allerdings hatte ich sehr häufig den Fall, dass der Screen nach einem Telefonat nicht wieder anging. Ich bin da auch nicht der einzige, da gibt's bei den XDAs mehrere Kandidaten mit dem Problem.

Meine Lösung: Nochmal alles komplett gelöscht, zurück auf Null und auch nichts mit Titanium Backup wiederhergestellt. Ein extrem mühsamer und zeitaufwendiger Weg, aber jetzt läuft es 1a! Wahrscheinlich habe ich mit Titanium Backup Daten des alten ROMs wieder eingespielt, die sich mit dem von MDJ nicht verstehen...

gefällt mir auch sehr gut dieses ROM :D (mit diesem theme GingerThyparancy FULLTHEME RC1) ich werde es weiter testen....erstmal alles wieder einrichten

Hab mir noch den v4 Kernel mit geflasht,jetzt läuft es noch besser

bei den themes steht:
The theme is available as a FULL theme (root required) or as skin only version

wo is der unterschied versteh ich nicht :S

s-off=root required
s-on=skin only version

OK, ich gebe es zu, auch bei diesem ROM hatte ich heute Morgen meine Probleme, nachdem ich aber alles von Null aufgesetzt habe läuft dieses ROM so smooth wie man sich das nur wünschen kann! Das GingerThyparancy Theme wertet das ROM noch zusätzlich auf.

Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen: So machen Custom ROMs richtig Spaß!

wie tu ich den kernel flashen?

So, als ob du ein ROM flasht - mit dem Problem habe ich mich heute auch schon rumgeschlagen.

aha. wäre halt erwähnenstwert in der anleitung :-) suche auch schon danach

also ich hab immer noch 1.2 ghz auch nach kernel update

und hab ständig fehlermeldung

Die anwendung Suche (Prozess com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox)wurde unerwartet beendet Versuchen sie es erneut

warum kernel updaten? ist doch schon sofort auch geupdatet wenn man die rom flasht soweit ich das weiss

so wie es aussieht wohl nicht. kannst ja mal schauen ob ach dem rom der kernel ein anderer ist.

also mein tp2 war über Jahre übertaktet und es hat ihm nicht geschadet ;)
ausserdem war dies nur ein test, werde wohl zum testen das ding auf 1600 laufen lassen...man muss ja auch noch beobachten, wie der akkuverbrauch sich dabei verhält.

die erste einstellung bewirkt das mehr prozesse und aufgaben in der sekunde erledigt werden können und die zweite aktiviert die hardwarebeschleunigung des UI durch die GPU anstatt durch die CPU. Dies ist im Virtuous 1.0.2 standardmässig nicht aktiviert. Beide einstellungen machen absolut null problem aber machen sich extrem postiv bemerkbar was die geschmeidigkeit des Phones angeht. Probiert es aus, ihr werdet es nicht bereuen ;)

ich meine auf der partition des händys (nicht auf der sd karte) dort auf einfach auf system gehen, runter scrollen und dort sollte sich die build.prob befinden :)

am bestenmit dem root explorer öffnen, root funktion aktivieren und systempartition als schreibbar mounten (findest du in den einstellungen des root explorers) sonst kann man system dateien nicht editieren und abspeichern

nachher natürlich das handy neustarten ;)

ich denke du wirst einen enormen unterschied merken vor allem im app menü, flüssiger gehts nicht mehr. Lad dir hier noch den controller vom oc däemon runter, stell auf interactive und nicht auf ondemand und du hast das flüssigste phone ever :)
