das du selbst was flashen kannst..
bin wohl blind... aber wo steht genau das der bootloader geöffnet wird und für welche phones?
wäre natürlich wünschenswert, auch für die komplette S Reihe. Aber so definitiv scheint mir das nicht zu sein.Zitat:

Mann kann sich aber sehr sicher sein. Ich glaube kaum, dass sie nach dieser Predigt den Bootloader jetzt von signiert in verschlüsselt ändern, denn dann sind wir am Pupsloch. :D
Ich glaube, dass sie den Bootloader öffnen, allerdings gerootete Geräte erkannt werden und den Zugriff zu HTC Watch sperren.
ja das könnte gut sein, dass gerootete geräte von htc services gekickt werden :|
aber wäre schön wenn sie den bootloader entlocken :D

Mal ne blöde Frage von einem der sich da nicht so auskennt: Was bedeutet das für die Leute die schon nen Sensation besitzen? Wird die "Signatur" kommuniziert, beim nächsten Update ersetzt oder bringt der offene bootloader nur etwas für die "nächste Generation" der sensation's?

Na ja, prinzipiell stimme ich dir ja zu. Mein Sensation ist schon nicht schlecht. Aber wie sieht's in 12-18 Monaten aus? Ich für meinen Teil bin saufroh, dass es die Devs gibt, die für mein HD2 alles möglich machen und deshalb in der Performance dem Sensation kaum nachsteht.Zitat:

Jo, ich bin auch froh, dass die Devs mein Desire noch gut Supporten.

ich habe bisher eigentlich keine aussage darüber gefunden ob auch aktuelle geräte insbesondere das sensation davon auch betroffen ist, es wird immer nur von zukünftigen geräten gesprochen.
und ließe sich das überhaupt nachträglich für die bereits verkauften einheiten gefahrlos über ota o.ä. bewerkstelligen?
imho ist das jetzt einfach nur eine marketing strategie um nicht komplett den boden gegen das s2 zu verlieren, aber ich lasse mich auch gern noch vom gegenteil überzeugen! ;)

das geht OTA, du flashed einfachst den bootloader neu, das machen sie jetzt auch schon ständig nur halt mit signierten bootloadern
aber leider hab ich bisher auch nicht gehört ob das sensation, incredible s, wildfire s , desire s auch wieder nachträglich unlocked werden oder nur die Geräte die jetzt noch in Zukunft auf den markt kommen

Ich gehe mal ganz stark davon aus das es für die Branding Geräte keine neue Firmware mit offenen System geben wird. der Grund ist ganz einfach, die Provider haben da nämlich auch ein Wörtchen mitzureden. Und in deren Interesse kann das nich sein!
Ich persönlich brauche für Android keine SW aus irgendeiner Küche, habe da beim LG P990 nur schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Entweder ging das GPS nicht mehr vernünftig oder der Akkuverbrauch war unter aller Sau. Lest mal die Beitrge in den entsprechenden Foren.
Ich bin mit der SW von HTC sehr zufrieden.
ich kann auf bestimmte root apps nicht verzichten, zu sehr dran gewöhnt :-D
Da muss ich dir leider widersprechen. Ich hab zu Zeit "nur" das HTC Desire HD (vorgänger von Sensation) und ich hab das Revolution HD 5.1.7 um damit läuft das DHD besser. Die Akkulesitung hat sich verbessert (Mit Stock bin knapps über den Tag kommen,allerdings mit viel Internetradio und mit RevoHD hält der akku jettz 1,5 Tage) und die Performance hat sich auch etwas verbessert. Der GPSfix dauert jetzt noch nur 5 Sekunden und vorhin fast ne 1min (wobei ich jetzt nicht weiss ob es am Handy lagt oder am Standort wo ich mich befand) Aber es gibt auch schlechte Costum Rom, die meisten dürfen aber gut bis perfekt sein :)Zitat:

Also ich hab dies bezüglich Kontakt mit HTC aufgenommen und sie sagen dass es noch in Plannung ist und noch keine Info's gibt.

Soweit ich weiß werden die Geräte einfach S-Off geshipped. In Canada sind die EVO 3D Geräte bereits S-Off geliefert wurden. Verlieren wird man somit seine Garantie nur durch Custom ROMs denke ich...
Nun macht euch nicht in die Hosen es geht auf Offiziellem wege und HTC hat es gross Publik gemacht das der Loader offen sein wird also können sie es sich nicht leisten dann irgendwas mit der Garantie zu machen...
