MKV abspielen mit Galaxy S
Hallo,
ich habe zu hause ein xbmc mediacenter und diverse filme als x264 in mkv drauf....
Bisher war ich nicht in der lage ein mkv auf dem ggalaxy s auszugeben... entweder es weigert sich direkt " nicht unterstützt" oder es spielt das video mit sound (etwas ruckelig) ab aber das popoup "nicht supported" verdeckt den halben film. ein bestätigen beendet leider die wiedergabe.
laut samsung spielt es mkv/x264... welche sound codec und welche video settings brauche ich denn damit es geht? Ich rede garnicht mal von HD.. selbst PAL auflösung scheitert.
waereschon nett gewesen, wenn es so eine allerwelts ding wie x264 in mkv sauber hinbekommt.

FWIW, ich habe mal probeweise eine MKV-Datei mit einem 1280x720p/50 H.264/AVC Video und AC-3 Tonspur (1536kbps) gespielt, Gesamtdatenrate ca. 2,8 Mbits/s, und die spielt das Galaxy S ohne zu murren völlig ruckelfrei ab. Auch das hin- und herspringen klappt einwandfrei.
Haben Deine MKV-Dateien vielleicht eine besonders hohe Datenrate (einfach Dateigrösse * 8 / Abspiellänge in Sekunden ausrechnen), oder steckt da ausser Video und Audio noch etwas anderes drin, vielleicht Untertitel? Eine Datei mit Untertiteln habe ich bislang nicht getestet...

Ob unterstützt oder nicht, ist nicht von der Bitrate abhängig.
Vor allem bei x264 ist es entscheidend wie das Material encodiert ist. Leider habe ich noch kein SGS, sonst würde ich das intensiv austesten.
Ladet mal das Programm MediaInfo und durchleuchtet eure Filmchen. Am besten "Ansicht" -> "Text" -> den Inhalt kopieren und hier posten ;)
Ich vermute, dass es entweder an b-pyramid oder cabac liegt.

An CABAC liegt's offenbar nicht, aber an b-pyramid könnte es liegen...

Genau das vermute ich auch. Wird wohl daran liegen, dass der Codec beim SGS nicht (vollständig) HighProfile-fähig ist.

So unter Linux ist das etwas zäher gewesen mit dem mediainfo aber habe es gemacht. Hier mal ein Bsp das ich mit Handbrake gemacht habe und auf demm SGS nicht abspielbar ist. Ich sehe im Output von mediainfo allerdings nur spanische Dörfer.... habe halt ein Standard encoding-Profil benutzt in Handbrake und unter XBMC und diversen anderen Playern lief das Ergebnis auch. Nur auf dem Galaxy tut es das nicht....

Hi,
ich habe leider inhaltlich keine Ahnung was ein Profil ist... bisher dachte ich es sei ein Template für meinen Encoder. Quasi eine Hilfe mir das Einstellen zu erleichtern...nichts was hinterher das Abspielen erschwert, weil ich high gewählt habe.. was immer es bewirkt.
Ich möchte jetzt nur ungern 100 Filme wieder von den DVD's im Keller neu rippen und encoden..
Kann man die fertigen HIGH mkv's in Lauffähige umrechnen ohne dass ich wieder ganz von vorne anfangen muss?
Traut sich wer zu ein Template fürs SGS taugliche Filme zu bauen?

Immer wenn ich mit MKVmerge die deutsche Tonspur meiner Datei lösche bzw. die englische auf Standard setzen lasse / flagge, dann spielt mein SGS die Datei nicht mehr ab.
