So. Ich teste das ROM nun schon seit knapp ner Stunde.
Ich finde das ROM ziemlich flüssig, im Vergleich zu dem MoDaCo ROM sogar ziemlich schnell. :)
Ich kann jetzt noch nicht gross die langzeit Erfahrung "posten" aber mein erster Eindruck ist ziemlich positiv. ;)
Hatte bis jetzt einen kleinen Bug dass das Phone sich neustartet als ich das Album öffnete. ;) Aber das kam nur einmal vor.
Ansonsten: Nur zu empfehlen. :)

Ich werde mich, nachdem ich meine erste Klausuren geschrieben habe, auch einmal intensivst damit beschäftigen (ab Mittwoch:D)....bin leider noch völlig unerfahren in Sachen Android, deswegen werden wohl ein paar Fragen meinerseits folgen. Andererseits: Sollte jemand Hilfe im Bezug auf Windows Mobile haben, da kann ich weiterhelfen...habe mich eine lange Zeit damit beschäftig und das wirklich von A-Z;)
Kööntest du mir kurz ein paar Eindrücke im Vergleich zum StockROM auflisten...insbesondere interessiert mich die Performance.
UNd ja...die Addons sagen mir bis dato auch noch nicht so viel, aber ich erwarte nicht, dass mir jemand dies haarklein auseinanderklamüsert;) Dennoch: Wenn jemand da draußen nichts zu tun haben sollte, kann man vllt. eine kurze Beschreuibung der Features eines CookedROMs geben....bevor Langeweile aufkommt;)

Kann dir da jetzt noch nicht so viel erzählen, da ich das ROM noch nicht solange drauf habe. Jedoch mach es einen ganz netten eindruck auf mich. Ist relativ schnell im vergleich zum Stock.
Das Problem ist das es noch ein paar wenige Bugs hat die das Phone immer mal wieder zum absturz bringen.

Ich habe heute den Bootloader unlocked. Dann das Standard Recovery IMG-File.
Dann probiert das CM5.0 beta3 zu flashen, dann Google Add-Ons, dann "zImage-2.6.32-defconfig", dann "zImage-2.6.29.6-highmem"
Ich konnte das WLAN nicht mehr aktivieren... Jetzt bin ich wieder beim Stock ROM.
Wie bist du vorgegangen um den .32 Kernel zu flashen? Ich will einfach das CM5.0 Beta3 ROM mit den Google Apps und dem .32 Kernel (wegen dem Speed ;))
In welcher Reihenfolge muss ich das flashen?
Du musst mir die technischen Schritte nicht detailliert erklären, ich werde selber googeln ;) Nur die Reihenfolge ;)

Ich kann dir jetzt da nicht viel sagen da ich das ROM per MoDaCo Küche gebacken habe. Aber ich versuchs mal (so würde ichs machen):
- Wipen
- Dann die zwei Kernel dinger
- ROM drüber gebügelt
- neustarten
- dann die Google Bits
Sag mal ist das normal das die zwei Kernel Files zwei unterschiedliche Versions Namen haben? Ich denke die müssen doch gleich heissen.

Hmm komisch.. In den Foren sagten einige auch, zuerst CM5.0, dann die Kernel Dinger (zuerst defconfig, dann memhack)..
Und nein, denke die Kernel Dinger sollten beide die gleiche Version haben :confused:
Habe aber keine andere defconfig gefunden..
Wie hast du das CM5.0 installiert? Einfach ohne Kernel "Updates" etc.? Nur CM5.0? Ist das schon schneller als Stock ROM? ;)

Wie schon gesagt ich hatte mein ROM per Küche von MoDaCo gebacken. Da kann man schon von anfang an auswählen welchen Kernel man will. Der wird dann ins update.zip reingepackt.
Somit kann ich das ganze in einem einizgen flash vorgang raufspielen. :)
Schneller ist es schon als mein Stock ROM (kanns dir nicht genau sagen weil ich an dem tag ich mein Gerät erhalten hatte schon MoDaCo drüber gebügelt hatte:)) .. Auf alle fälle hängt sich das Phone immer wieder mal auf und rebootet. So wie ich das mitbekommen habe ist das mehr oder weniger ein allgemeiner Fehler und man arbeitet dran. :)

Damit WLAN dann wieder funktioniert musst du nur noch die angehängte Datei in den Telefonspeicher kopieren:

Also nachdem ich dieses Rom drauf gemacht habe war ich echt erstaunt über die Geschwindigkeit. Wenn es mit dem 32 Kernel noch schneller wird, wird es mir dann unheimlich.
zuhause hatt er dann ab und zu die Verbindung zum Netzwerk WLan verloren..
Ich musste mauell stoppen und neu Starten (Wlan) dann gings wider..
Heute im Geschäft.. passiert das nicht mehr.. Mal schauen wie's am Abend ist.

Nach dem ich das BenchmarkPi Tool durchlaufen liess konnte ich keine Leistungssteigerung zum .29 Kernel ausmachen. Also für mich nicht unbedingt ein Grund den zu verwenden. Auch bringt der .32 Kernel einiges an instabilität mit sich. :)
Ich empfehle den .29 Kernel mit dem Patch für die zweite Memory Bank, suche im moment gerade noch den Patch und mach vielleicht noch ne anleitung hier. :)

Wunderbar danke fürs Feedback. Im MoDaCo Forum hat man mir schon gesagt das dies nicht funktioniert habe, aber nun bin ich vom Gegenteil überzeugt :)

Ich hatte den heute proberweise mal drauf.
Du brauchst lediglich dieses File im Anhang.
Dann startest das Phone im Fastboot Modus (die 3 grünen Androids aufm Skateboard)
Gibst in der Konsole folgendes ein:

Ich habe den .32 Kernel lediglich im CM 5.0 Beta 2 ausprobiert (kitchen von modaco). Lediglich das zImage zusammen mit Beta 3 könnte klappen ;)

Also... Es läuft! Jedoch hatte ich gleich nach dem reboot ein launcher force close. Habe dann auf Force Close gedrückt und seither läufts.
WLAN läuft natürlich nicht, weil ich das neue Modul (bcm4329.ko) noch nicht kopiert habe. Werde ich wohl auch nicht machen, da ich hier ziemlich gute HSDPA Abdeckung habe :D
Lass den .32 Kernel jetzt mal ein paar Stunden drauf.
