Zune Software kommt auf Windows Mobile

Nach vielen Gerüchten bestätigt nun der Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, dass die Zune Software auch auf Windows Mobile Geräten erscheinen wird. Wahrscheinlich werden wir uns aber bis zu Windows Mobile 7 gedulden müssen.

CIO: Why has Microsoft developed Zune?
Ballmer: At the end of the day, one of the big trends is that all content is going digital. And if we don’t have the software and services that are useful, helpful and valuable for the consumption of music and video, we are sort of not really a player.
Now, we built the Zune hardware with the Zune software - and what you’ll see more and more over time is that the Zune software will also be ported to and be more important not just with the hardware but on the PC, on Windows Mobile devices, etc.

Eine schöne Entwicklung, eigentlich. Nur wage ich zu bezweifeln, ob Microsoft tatsächlich ein schönes User Interface und eine gute Usability alleine hinbekommt. Momentan ist die Freeware Slide 2 Play für Windows Mobile Touchscreengeräte sehr zu empfehlen.

Habe mir gleich mal ein Zune video angeschaut und muss sagen dass das Interface sehr schön aussieht, viele Effekte bietet und auch flüssig läuft. Wenn Zune den Windows Media Player in wm7 ersetzt währe das sehr schön!
