We have obtained the first Android 4.3 test build firmware for the Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505G).

We wanted to test out Android 4.3 but didn’t had the Google variant of the Galaxy S4 with us, so we ported it to our standard Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) and got some outstanding results.

Android 4.3 port from the Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 is fully functional on the standard Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505), there is not even a single thing which isn’t working. We haven’t made any changes to the port, so it’s 100% original with zero changes.

Google hasn’t made Android 4.3 public yet, but it’s good to know that OEMs already have access to the source code. Early access will result in quick software updates and less Android fragmentation. Keep in mind, Android 4.3 is still in development phases and does not have all the features which are yet to be implemented.

- Copy Google Play Edition ROM to your internal SD Card
- Enter Recovery (Power + Volume Up + Home)
- Do a Wipe/Factory Reset (Necessary due to new Android version)
- Flash Google Play Edition ROM
- Reboot your device!

und die Kamra taugt weniger als nichts .... nein danke tu ich mir nicht an.

Also ich mir mit Sicherheit auch nicht.

Also kommt die Offizielle 4.3 auch bald. Vorallem man verliert alle Samsung eigenen Apps..

und 384.9 MB gegen ca 2,5 gb .. da muss ja sehr viel fehlen.

Diese Version kann wohl auch (noch) nicht gerootet werden. Ich bleibe auch auf Stock Samsung.

Ist schon eine offizielle Version verfügbar? Mein Galaxy Nexus ist kaputt gegangen und ein "S4 Nexus" wäre genau das richtige für mich. Gefunden habe ich bisher nichts, was nicht noch gemoddet und sonstwas ist.

Das ist aber auch gemoddet und man kriegt keine Updates OTA rein. Ich möchte das S4 in die Google Play Edition umwandeln. Es soll nicht nur so aussehen.

Was willst Du denn noch für OTA Updates bekommen, wenn Du dann schon 4.3 drauf hast ?? Bis da das erste reguläre OTA-Update kommt, hast Du eh schon das S5 ... :mrgreen:

Ich hätte auch gerne ein reines GE welches sich ohne Probleme updaten lässt, gibt es diese Möglichkeit schon?
