The cooks on this forum are fantastic and i have learnt a lot from them, but I prefer the Samsung ROM to stay as close to stock as possible.
Ideally, the choice to theme the ROM, add AOSP apps or even remove ringtones should rest with the user and this preference changes from person to person.
Also, excessive removal of system files whose functions are not fully understood can lead to further instability in the already pre-release ICS ROMs.

I have been tweaking and using this ROM since the day XXLPB was released and i feel it is really stable and perfect for as a daily driver. I am releasing this so late as i had to be sure of its stability. Personally, i think its the most stable and battery efficient ICS ROM i have come across.

hier noch eine kurze erklärung zur OTA-app:

Instructions for Current OTA APP:

1. Open App "GalaxyMOD-Updater"
2. Press "Menu" > "Configuration"
3. "Extra Update Settings"
4. Select "Manage Extra Servers"
5. Press menu and there "Update Featured Extra Servers" - "Yes"
6. Click menu and select Update Featured Extra Servers
7. Now click menu again and select "Enable"
8. Here select "Enable all Extra Servers" from the menu
9. go back to the app is closed, then reopen it and click check now
10. under button "Extras" now you found all things

durch den googleübersetzer gejagt:

Open-App "GalaxyMOD-Updater"
Drücken Sie "Menü"> "Konfiguration"
"Extra Update-Einstellungen"
Wählen Sie "Verwalten Extra-Servern"
Drücken Sie Menü und dort "Update Featured Extra-Server" - "Ja"
Klicken Sie auf Menü und wählen Sie Aktualisieren Featured Extra-Servern
Nun klicken Sie erneut das Menü und wählen Sie "Enable"
Hier wählen Sie "Aktivieren Sie alle Extra-Server" aus dem Menü
gehen Sie zurück zur App geschlossen ist, öffnen Sie sie erneut ein und klicken Sie überprüfen jetzt
Taste unter "Extras" jetzt finden Sie alle Dinge

die installation direkt vom downgeloadeten aus der app heraus klappt noch nicht... man landet im cwm... von dort einfach in den ordner "GalaxyMod_Updates" gehen und von dort installieren.

Hòrt sich gut an werde sie bald ma testen ;)

hört sich nicht nur so an... hält sogar meiner hardcorenutzung stand ;-)
keine kernelpanic mehr... und mit dem asop isc theme aus post 2 richtig schön... nicht so komische symbole wie so oft und datenverbindungssymbole einwandfrei.
batterie schön gross und doch dezent gut lesbar.

nur als Premium member bei 4shared Downloadbar....

schmarrn... geht ohne probleme.

DAU Frage:

bin auf "I9100XALPH Android 4.0.3 (16.02.2012)", was muss ich tun um dieses ROM zu testen?
Bei Nichtgefallen möchte ich zurück dahin, wo ich jetzt bin (sehr zufrieden).
Bitte nicht steinigen, flamen etc. bin einfach nicht in der Stimmung mir das "know how" zu ersuchen.
Ein CWM Backup der aktuellen Installation habe ich, mehr Wissen ist aber nicht vorhanden :D

Durch ein cwm-Backup kommst du zu dem Zustand wieder zurück, an dem du es erstellt hast.

Und wie installieren wir nun dieses Rom? Hey... Der Macher hat es uns im Rom-Thread verraten:
"Flash the zip file in Recovery mode. It is a full wipe ROM and will wipe everything including your installed apps."
Das klingt ja einfach. Da gibts doch bestimmt auch eine Anleitung und Hilfe dafür.

mein fazit: läuft einfach grandios ! (mal sehen wie lange ;) )

Es ging dann via neuem Direktlink. bei 4shared kommt bei mir noch immer die Meldung nur via Premium.

was bei mir auch Funktioniert ist die Direkte Installation der Mods aus dem GalaxyMOD-Updater.

Soweit schöne ROM hoffe es kommt noch ein Theme für den Dealer :-)

bei mir kommt da nix mit premium.

wegen theme... hab im ersten post geschrieben... das asop nehmen... dialer ist aber nicht ganz ics

also ich hab das ASOP Pack Installiert aber der Dialer ist weiterhin im Ginger Style und nicht im ICS.

ich weiss schon was du meinst... aber eigentlich ist das ja nicht wichtig.

hatte immer noch keine kernelpanic, freezer oder fc... einfach hammer gut.

jo, das ding rockt gewaltig ;-)... wie gesagt hab schon andyx, betzke, omega getestet... keines so stabil und schön wie dieses.

hmm, aber da steht nur für alle 2.3.6 tw basierten roms... ob das für ics 4.0.3 so gut ist?

Ja ich weiss aber solange er stabil läuft ist es doch super

das lass ich mal... muss ja nicht sein.... mir eigentlich egal wie der aussieht, Hauptsache funktioniert ;-)
