Besonderheiten
Es basiert auf dem aktuellsten AOSP Code. Die grosse Besonderheit dieses ROMs ist, dass es es so leicht wie möglich sein will.
Momentan sind es schlanke 31 + 56MB.
Zusätzlich kommt als Standard Launcher Holo Launcher zum Einsatz.
Zusätzlich gibt es noch ASS (Advanced Slim Settings) in dem ihr viele praktische Features finden könnt.

Was funktioniert
Das, dass ROM so klein ist liegt unter anderem daran, dass krarvind viele der Standard Apps
gelöscht hat. Somit kann es gut sein das etwas nicht funktioniert.

Device Settings from settings menu will FC, just ignore, there is no GNexus parts like CM has, hence it does. I will see if i can hide in the future for the nexus devices.
Like galaxy S variants, nexus s variants might FC after a recording but it records fine and plays back fine. Changing kernel to Air or Matr1x solves this "issue". No issues with Galaxy Nexus.

Slim ICS v4.2
Incorporated the partial linaro like AOKP and CM9. Thoughts?
No it doesn't turn your phone into a missile but there are some notieceable differences in
Browsing ( significant i feel)
Loading of apps
scrolling of pages in tapatalk and xda
higher BM scores ( not that it says the whole story, bedalus is on it to do some detailed testing)
I will fill this up as i find out more.

Basic gapps included in base is pulled and made a separate flashable zip, reason is two fold,
make google happy as they prefer this route and
they don't change often, so why bloat the base unnecessarily.
Whatever was in UpdateMe ( GenieWidget etc etc), Apps, Stays there,
Make sure to flash slim_gapps along with base and essentials to get working multi dpi playstore, gmail, talk, video chat, email and exchange. If you flash another gapps, you are on your own, don't complain apps are not compatible if you are not on slim gapps. This is the way moving forward, you can cry about if you want

Auto reboot to recovery and install cwm zip files after download via OTA app. Works on CWM 5.5.0.4 and TWRP 2.1.2. Users can select reboot type ( none, cwm, open recovery script which TWRP uses), then choose files to install ( internal or external, don't mix and match, has to be all internal or all external), sort the order if you want, press install and wait for it to enter recovery, install and reboot. Ideal for existing Slim users to upgrade to newer version.
That crazy face effects work now, will update the face unlock zip file, was missing some media files ( needs FFC, sorry cappy and vibrant) - Edit: Face Unlock updated, just get it via OTA APP, Addons and go crazy

WICHTIG: Für die Installation müsst ihr "Slim_Common.zip" und "Maguro_4.2.zip " herunterladen.
Nun müsst ihr zuerst "Maguro_4.2.zip " flashen und gleich anschliessend "Slim_Common.zip".
Tut ihr dies nicht wird es nicht funktionieren!

Kleiner Tipp meinerseits

Wenn ihr Maguro_4.2.zip mit einem Archivmanager wie etwa WinRar oder 7zip öffnet könnt ihr ganz
einfach im Ordner /system/app/ zusätzliche Apps löschen oder weitere hinzufügen. So könnt ihr zum Beispiel ganz einfach den Zeam Launcher wieder
durch den Stock Launcher ersetzen.

Kleine News

Der XDA User bedalus hat sehr viele Benchmarks gemacht und wie sich herausgestellt hat ist das Slim ICS ROM das schnellste 4.0.3 ICS ROM erhälltlich.

Zumindest für das Nexus S. Jedoch sollte sich dies für das Galaxy Nexus nicht ändern da dieses auf dem des Nexus S basiert.

Ist eig. klar, dass es schnell ist, es sind ja sehr wenig Apps und so.
Dieses ROM ist nichts für mich, muss auf zuviel verzichten

Ah was ich noch vergessen habe.
Ob es mit 2.7 funktioniert kann ich dir nicht sagen da ich selber noch AOKP nutze.
Ich rate jedoch davon ab 2.7 zu nutzen da 2.7 nicht in den Deep Sleep Modus geht und somit sehr viel Akku verbraucht.

Werden den OP anpassen sobald ich wieder zu Hause bin.

Ich hatte vor ein paar tagen die 2.7 drauf.

Bei den ASS konnte ich keine Bugs entdecken. Desp Sleep hat bei mir meines erachtens auch funktioniert.

Trotzdem hat mir die ROM gar nicht zugesprochen. Ich habe zuviele Apps vermisst und der Launcher hat mir nicht gefallen. Für mich ist er viel zuweit vom Stock entfernt und es wurde auf alles optische verzichtet um Megabytes zu sparen.

Ne deep sleep fuktioniert definitv nicht. Kannst du mit CPU Spy kontrollieren.

Ja das mit dem Launcher ist auch nicht so meine Sache. Aber er will den leider nicht ändern.

So 2.8 ist raus und fixt das Deep Sleep Problem. Welches durch einen Kernel Wakelock namens suspend_backoff verursacht wurde.
Desweiteren wurde ASS teilweise erweitert so das man nun eigenen App Verknüpfungen auf den Lockscreen legen kann.

Neu gibt es auch eine Basis welche für alle unterstützten Geräte gleich ist. Man muss nur noch das Packet herunterladen welches spezifisch für sein Gerät ist.

Ich habe die für das Galaxy Nexus benötigten Packete direkt verlinkt um so hoffentlich ein paar Fragen schon vorab zu beantworten.

Auch auf dem Galaxy S ist SLIM ICS das schnellste ICS ROM und zwar mit ziemlichem Vorsprung.

So Thread auf 3.4 geupdated.

Wichtigste Neuerung ist die eine Update app welche Over the Air updates erlaubt.
Die App heisst Update Me und man kann zusätzlich auch Apps nachinstallieren welche aus dem ROM entfernt wurden.
