Installation:
über "Install Zip" im CWM Recovery Menü.
Voraussetzung dafür der CF Kernel.
Man installiere den Kernel (mit Odin als PDA Flashen wie eine einteilige Firmware) gehe dann beim CF Kernel ins Recovery (Handy mit Volume up, Home und Power Starten) und wähle dort Install Zip from ...

hmm, was bringt eigentlich der Rom Manager OTA support? Bzw. was soll ich mir darunter vorstellen?

Klingt aber sonst recht n1...gibts schon erste Testberichte? Vlt. hau ich mir das heute am Abend noch drauf :)

Eine feine Sache, ist das.
Du kannst über den ROM Manager, künftige Updates dieses ROM's einfach so empfangen und installieren, ohne PC, ohne Forum, ohne mich ;-)

Ich kenne den Typ der das macht, vom Motorola Xoom.
Das ist mal kein Scriptkid, das erstmals einige Mod's zusammenpackt, hauptsache es ist Bunt und hat nen dicken Donate Button.

klingt gut, jetzt bin ich aber in der Erwartung des 2.3.4 doch zu faul wieder alles neu einzustellen...

Ich denke mir grad das gleiche. Da vermutlich ein WIPE nötig sein wird von 2.3.3 auf 2.3.4, bzw. halt sehr empfohlen. Und ich jetzt so schön an meinem screen gebastelt habe ^^

Aber die OTA Funktion finde mal verdammt geil. Er schafft das was Samsung bis jetzt noch nicht hinbekommen hat :P

Wann soll denn die 2.3.4 kommen? Gibts da was offizielles zu?
Wenn rein alles auf Spekulationen beruht, würde ich mich nicht darauf verlassen, dass es bald kommt.

Ist das ein Wipe-ROM, also alles wird gelöscht oder ist das nicht der Fall?
CF4.0 vorher oder hinterher?

Also habs drauf gemacht. Optisch nicht viel verändert.
Aber der ganze Dreck ist nun weg. Zur Stabilität und Akkulaufzeit kann ich natürlich noch nicht viel sagen, werde aber mal berichten.

Dieser ROM läuft bei mir seit gestern mit ZeuBug Theme & Battery/Status Icons aus der UOT ohne Porbleme. Mein erster Eindruck bisher - läuft stabil, Akkuverbrauch ist zumindest nicht schlechter geworden (genauere Aussage sicherlich erst in ein paar Tagen), überflüssige Apps sind entfernt, Update over the air....
Also wenn jetzt nicht noch etwas gravierendes auftritt, dann ist das für mich bisher der beste ROM.

Finde das rom nicht schlecht
Anfangs war Akku nach 8 stunden leer weil battery stats gelöscht wurden
Jetzt aber wieder ok

Ota update is echt spitze
Allerdings update über rom Manager geht nicht so ganz bleibt hängen am besten über cwm

Funktioniert bei Euch "home button wake"? Ich habe ein Update von 1.01 auf 1.03 gemacht und laut Changelog sollte in die v1.02 die Änderung eingeflossen sein, dass man via Home Button wieder aus dem Standby kommt. Bei mir funzt es aber noch nicht.

Hab von 1.01 auf 1.02 auf 1.03 upgedatet und es funktioniert

Scheint wohl auch laut XDA so zu sein. Hast Du nach dem Update von 1.02 nach 1.03 noch root Rechte? Einige haben berichtet, dass sie nach dem Update 1.02->1.03 kein root mehr hatten.

Warum ist es für dich das beste rom ?
Welche vorteile hat es für dich gegenüber anderen roms, außer das überflüssiges weg ist ?

Frage deshalb weil ich das angelom rom 1.8 drauf hab und das schon perfekt läuft.....bis auf das gps ?!
Ist das gps bei dem rom gut ? Hattest du vorher probleme mit dem gps ?

Geht das OTA über den ROM Manager? Wenn ja, braucht man Premium?
Werden die Updates gleich wie das ROM installiert?

MarcoPolo, bis auf die Frage nach dem Premium steht alles im Thread.

Finde ich nicht, bzw. bei mir geht das OTA nicht - deswegen die Frage.
Naja hab es nun per CWM drauf gespielt...trotzdem herzlichen Dank für die ausführliche Auskunft
