iOS 15.4 Update veröffentlicht: FaceID beim iPhone endlich mit Maske entsperren

Nachdem Apple am 8. März 2022 sein Frühlings-Event abhielt, wurde im Rahmen der Veranstaltung auch die Veröffentlichung des iOS 15.4 Update bestätigt. Dieses ist nun endlich erschienen und erlaubt endlich auch das Entsperren der iPhone-Modelle mit Face ID durch eine Gesichtsmaske hindurch. Allerdings muss das iPhone oder iPad dann entsprechend neu eingelernt werden.

iOS 15.4 Update: iPhone 6s und iPhone 7 sind weiterhin dabei

Doch welche iPhones erhalten denn nun die Aktualisierung auf das iOS 15.4 Update? Nicht wenige um genau zu sein. Das iPhone 6s wird in 2022 nun stramme 7 Jahre alt und darf sich dennoch über das neueste Apple-Update freuen. Ein neuer Rekord in der Technik-Welt der Handys. Zum Vergleich: Samsung verspricht aktuell eine Update-Garantie von 4 Jahren, wobei diese nur drei grosse Aktualisierungen beinhaltet. Hier hat Apple immer noch den grössten Vorsprung.

iPadOS 15.4 Update: iPad Mini aus 2015 ebenfalls am Start

Auch bei den iPads gab es eine kleine Überraschung. Das ebenfalls aus 2015 stammende iPad Mini 4 bleibt weiter im Update-Pool erhalten und bekommt somit auch die neuste Version in Form von iPadOS 15.4 Update spendiert. Das erste iPad fiel mit Version 15 anfangs aber erstmals aus dem Rahmen und ist nicht mehr dabei. Im Wortlaut gibt Apple an: Ab iPad Air 2, das iPad Mini 4 und älter sowie alle iPad Pro-Modelle erhalten die neue Aktualisierung.
