Zitat:
Our first impressions are, quite simply, "wow". This handset is a lot more impressive than we really expected.

Put simply, the Nexus 4 looks and feels the way a high-end smartphone should. It's sleek, solid, and not at all flimsy. There are no cheap-feeling, plasticky surfaces here.

Speaking of the screen, boy, is it a beaut. If you've seen the Optimus G, you know what to expect: The device uses True HD IPS technology and boasts a resolution of 1280 x 768, with 320ppi. It looks fantastic -- crisp, clear, and bright, with phenomenal detail.
hier noch was--> http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11...build-quality/

Zitat:
The Nexus 4 is one of the most elegant devices we've played with. .... But the most interesting part of the whole thing is its checkerboard-like decor that looks like a cross between The Matrix and the iconic tile-like live wallpaper made famous by the Nexus One. When we first saw the device in leaked photos, we worried that it might look too tacky -- on the contrary, it not only adds to the subtle aesthetics, but it helps the Nexus 4 stand apart from all those other bland, rectangular phones.
Zitat:
The display is among the best that you can currently find on a smartphone. ... it's one of the nicest displays we've ever viewed in the midday sun. We could see everything clearly at right around 50 percent brightness, and it was still at least relatively easy to read with the settings down to about 30 percent.
Zitat:
We did some comparison tests with the Nexus 4 and the Galaxy S III, one of the best 8-megapixel mobile cameras we've had the pleasure of using. There are a few areas in which the Nexus 4 bests the GS3, and others in which it's still very good, but loses to its Samsung competitor. The Nexus appears to be slightly better in close-ups and when zooming in at full strength. We also prefer HDR on the Nexus. Colors, however, seem to be more naturally saturated on the GS3 and the sky shows a more realistic blue hue.
Zitat:
Since the Nexus 4 uses the same 2,100mAh battery (and power-friendly Krait chip) as the Optimus G, we expected to record essentially the same runtime. Much to our surprise, however, it was considerably worse in both our tests and our real-life use.

Zitat:
The Nexus 4 isn't just amazing for its price, it's just plain amazing. It outstrips the Galaxy S3 in power and screen resolution, and is less than half the price. Add on to that the great updates to Android Jelly Bean and the amazing photo features on board, the Nexus 4 isn't just the best Android phone on a budget, it's probably the best Android phone full stop. Should you buy it? You can't afford not to.

Hier habe ich noch etwas Frisches straight from UK:
--> http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/mobi...-with-nexus-4/
Zitat:
The first thing you'll notice about the Nexus 4 is how it feels in your hand. It's weighty without being too heavy. It's very solid. It also has impressive ergonomics. The phone itself is only slightly smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S III, but it feels more comfortable to hold single-handedly. The bezel around the screen is thin, so Google has maximised the screen without compromising on sheer size.
Zitat:
The Nexus 4 uses a true HD IPS display that promises better battery efficiency and better whites than competing super AMOLED screens. We did notice, however, that when we directly compared the Nexus 4 with a Galaxy S III, the latter appeared to offer more vibrant colours. The display itself was just as bright and whites don't have the same blue tinge that's common on the Galaxy S III, but at full brightness the Nexus 4's colours didn't pop out at us as much as we expected. To users with a keen eye, however, the more natural colour reproduction will probably be a positive.

Call quality on the Google Nexus 4, however, is extremely impressive with LG and Google clearly making an effort to ensure than the handset’s bread and butter is not an oversight that suffers at the expense of more luxurious inclusions. With strong, easy to alter volume controls, the Google Nexus 4 boasts noise cancelling features ensuring that you can be heard, and hear the other end of the conversation, even when in load, busy, bustling areas. Not just an impressive on-paper addition, the handset’s noise cancelling abilities worked exceptionally well in practice, allowing us to conduct conversations next to a busy road, in a noisy pub and even at a football ground with minimal disruption.
On the whole, the 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera found on the Google Nexus 4 is somewhat lacklustre. Whilst focus speeds and shutter speeds are impressive, and you can quickly open the camera app direct from the lock screen, ensuring you will always be supported when trying to capture that fleeting magic moment, in terms of overall results, images frequently prove below expectations. With snaps appearing excessively flat, contrast ratios leave much to be desired with block colours offering little gradient or subtlety in shading.
Akkulaufzeit begeistert nicht wirklich; Aufladung dauert ziemlich lang:Zitat:
The inbuilt speakers found on the Google Nexus 4 are surprisingly strong making movie playback and out loud podcast absorption not only possible but a largely enjoyable experience. Although largely strong, the handset’s inbuilt speaker does struggle with distortion and rattle on occasion when music playback hits the highest volume settings.
Zitat:
Despite featuring a hefty 2,100 mAh Lithium polymer battery, we found the Google Nexus 4 battery life left a lot to be desired, with the expansive 4.7-inch display and 1.5GHz quad-core processor proving a considerable drain on the handset’s power supply. With the Android 4.2 handset repeatedly fail to clear the one day usage hump that plagues so many devices, Google and LG have lined the Nexus 4 up in parallel to its competitors without pushing the boundaries. What’s more, as well as suffering from rapid battery drain, an issue that is unsurprisingly rapidly accelerated when making use of app-based games or multimedia consumption, the Google Nexus 4 is less than speedy to recharge. With a charge from 15 per cent battery to 100 per cent battery pushing the three hour mark, daily overnight charges are a likely outcome if adopting the latest Nexus handset.
