Nexus Bugs. Our technical support team has tested a handful of devices against the issues highlighted on XDAdevelopers and Youtube. However we have so far been unable to recreate these. This could mean a number of factors 1) the stock we have is bug free 2) we have just been lucky with what we tested. We cannot test all devices and are hoping the devices are bug free and at the worst this is a software fault that can be fixed OTA.
UPDATE further tests have shown that there is an issue with the volume on some tested units – we will keep you updated
UPDATE The tests are showing when in 2G mode the volume is acting erratically – we at this point are putting all shipments on hold.
Update: Some units have already been shipped however we understand that some customers would still like to have their units shipped with this potential issue if so – please email support@handtec.co.uk with your order number. Please note by doing this P&P will need to covered both ways (by customer) in the event of returns regarding the volume issue. If customers would like to wait until Samsung resolves the issue then you do not need to do anything.
@Maxey: ok, das war's dann - wenn handtec gestern defekte Units bekommen hat, sind auch die bei Clove im Ar***. Damit ist der Traum "Nexus vor Weihnachten" wohl ausgeträumt. Werde bei Clove stornieren, wenn sie den Versand jetzt auch anhalten.
Gehe jetzt mal davon aus, dass jetzt alle Geräte zuerst mal zurück zu Samsung gehen - das dauert dann locker 3-4 Wochen.
Ja...scheint leider so zu sein :(

So, whenever the user is using 2G connectivity for data or phone calls, there is a high chance of volume dropping entirely and phone becoming unresponsive.
This is a problem reported by two thirds of the handset owners in the forum, all of whom have issues like described above. Users have called Samsung customer support and posted on their Facebook wall without any response from Samsung. Users who have replaced their handset have discovered the issue on replacement handsets as well.

Weil es hier folgendes Problem gibt.
Normalerweise ist es so, dass wenn das Nexus nicht benutzt wird die CPU schläft, sie ist zwar aktiv aber arbeit nicht richtig. Dieser Zustand verbraucht sehr wenig Strom.
Wenn jetzt eine Nutzereingabe erfolgt. Zum Beispiel jemand drückt den Lautstärkeknopf. Wacht die CPU auf und beginnt zu arbeiten was mehr Strom benötigt. Bis sie sich wieder schlafen legt geht es einen Moment da der Nutzer ja wahrscheinlich etwas machen möchte und die CPU deshalb parat sein muss. Sonst ruckelts und man regt sich auf.
In unserem Fall wird die Fehlfunktion der Hardware als Nutzereingabe gewertet was das Telefon zum aufwachen bewegt.
Man könnte zwar ohne Probleme dem System sagen, dass es Eingaben welche nach diesem Muster funktionieren ignorieren soll. Leider weckt dies jedes mal die CPU auf welche dann sagt: "Ach nein das ist ja nur mein Hardwarefehler." Ignoriert die Eingaben und sobald alles vorüber ist legt sie sich wieder schlafen.
Wenn man sich jetzt in einem schlechten Empfangsgebiet befindet kann es sein, dass die CPU gar nicht mehr schläft und somit der ganze Akku für gar nichts drauf geht.
Entschuldigt für die etwas spezielle Beschreibung aber ich kenne nur die englischen Fachbegriffe. So versteht es zumindest jeder :D.
also, wenn sie sagen, sie hätten eine in 48h, dann sind sie mit garantie schon am testen. Wobei ich mir hier nur versuche einzureden, dass alles nicht so schlimm ist, da ich sonst einen Haufen Geld in den Sand gesetzt habe :-/Zitat:
