AMOLED bald nur noch für Samsung Smartphones?

Gemäss einem Artikel des Korea Herald kann Samsung aufgrund des steigenden Eigenbedarfs nicht mehr mit genügend AMOLED Displays versorgen. HTC scheint jetzt mit Sony zu verhandeln, um die Top Geräte Nexus One und HTC Desire mit SCLD (Super TFT LCD) zu bestücken.

Dies hätte natürlich sowohl Vor- wie auch Nachteile. Die neuen Geräte hätten nicht mehr den Kontrast und die Brillianz von AMOLED Smartphones, wären jedoch im Sonnenlicht wesentlich besser lesbar und das Multitouch Problem könnte dadurch gelöst werden.

Momentan sicher noch als Gerücht zu taxieren, aber wo Rauch ist, ist meist auch Feuer

HTC muss bei der Produktion der Smartphones Desire und beim Nexus One von Google auf AMOLED verzichten. Samsung Mobile Display kann einfach die noetige Kapazitaet im Moment nicht liefern. Ein Samsung Mobile Verantwortlicher sagte zu der Thematik wir fahren die Produktion mit 100 Prozent. Die Nachfrage ist im Moment einfach zu hoch. Analysten sagen das Samsung Mobile Display die eigenen Produkte bevorzugt so z.b. das Galaxy-S mit Super-Amoled das 10 bis 15 Millionen mal verkauft werden wird.

Google hat entschieden fuer das Nexus One auf Super TFT LCD (SCLD) von Sony zu verbauen.

Abhilfe schafft das neue Samsung Mobile Display Werk das im July 2011 die Produktion aufnehmen soll. Samsung investiert 2 Milliarden Dollar in diese 5.5 Gen Anlage. Die gesamte Produktionskapazitaet liegt danach bei 30 Millionen 3 Zoll Displays im Monat.

Aber das display hat nichts mit dem touch zu tun! Ausser sie bauen auch gleich nen neues touchpanel ein, was ich jedoch bezweifle.

Grundsätzlich hast du recht, in der Praxis werden Display und Panel aber genau aufeinander abgestimmt, und es wäre naheliegend, hier was zu ändern ... we'll see ...

HTC hat heute in einem Press Release bestätigt, dass das Nexus One und das Desire künftig mit SLCDs gebaut werden sollen.

Als Vorteil wird weniger Akkuverbrauch erwähnt:

soweit ich weiß werden in fast alle smartphones touchscreens von synaptics verbaut, das hat nichts direkt mit dem bildschirm zu tun, da der touchscreen auf einer anderen Schicht funktioniert, nämlich über dem eigentlichen bild


wenn mich nicht alles täuscht in alten htc geräten das clearpad 2000 (mit multitouch fehler) in den neueren das clearpad 3000 (ohne multitouch fehler)
