Die Verarbeitung des rund 140 Gramm schweren Geräts ist tadellos, das Gehäuse erstaunlich verwindungssteif, die Tasten stramm eingefasst. Die Ränder sind etwas rau und gummiartig und die glatte Rückseite glänzt je nach Lichteinfall in einer anderen Pixelmatrix, dezent genug, um nicht in die Bling-Bling-Ecke abzurutschen.

The Nexus 4 isn't just amazing for its price, it's just plain amazing. It outstrips the Galaxy S3 in power and screen resolution, and is less than half the price. Add on to that the great updates to Android Jelly Bean and the amazing photo features on board, the Nexus 4 isn't just the best Android phone on a budget, it's probably the best Android phone full stop. Should you buy it? You can't afford not to.

The first thing you'll notice about the Nexus 4 is how it feels in your hand. It's weighty without being too heavy. It's very solid. It also has impressive ergonomics. The phone itself is only slightly smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S III, but it feels more comfortable to hold single-handedly. The bezel around the screen is thin, so Google has maximised the screen without compromising on sheer size.

The Nexus 4 uses a true HD IPS display that promises better battery efficiency and better whites than competing super AMOLED screens. We did notice, however, that when we directly compared the Nexus 4 with a Galaxy S III, the latter appeared to offer more vibrant colours. The display itself was just as bright and whites don't have the same blue tinge that's common on the Galaxy S III, but at full brightness the Nexus 4's colours didn't pop out at us as much as we expected. To users with a keen eye, however, the more natural colour reproduction will probably be a positive.

Sehr gute Tonqualität beim Telefonieren und gute Unterdrückung der Störgeräusche:

With snaps appearing excessively flat, contrast ratios leave much to be desired with block colours offering little gradient or subtlety in shading.

Although largely strong, the handset’s inbuilt speaker does struggle with distortion and rattle on occasion when music playback hits the highest volume settings.

Akkulaufzeit begeistert nicht wirklich; Aufladung dauert ziemlich lang:

Despite featuring a hefty 2,100 mAh Lithium polymer battery, we found the Google Nexus 4 battery life left a lot to be desired, with the expansive 4.7-inch display and 1.5GHz quad-core processor proving a considerable drain on the handset’s power supply. With the Android 4.2 handset repeatedly fail to clear the one day usage hump that plagues so many devices, Google and LG have lined the Nexus 4 up in parallel to its competitors without pushing the boundaries. What’s more, as well as suffering from rapid battery drain, an issue that is unsurprisingly rapidly accelerated when making use of app-based games or multimedia consumption, the Google Nexus 4 is less than speedy to recharge. With a charge from 15 per cent battery to 100 per cent battery pushing the three hour mark, daily overnight charges are a likely outcome if adopting the latest Nexus handset.

Ich frage mich Mittlerweile warum das Gerät so sauber verarbeitet ist, wenn ich mich an die alten Geräte erinnere ^^

Ich frage mich warum der Akku so schlecht ist. Es ist ja eigentlich 1:1die gleiche Hardware wie beim Optimus G warum zieht das Nexus also soviel mehr Strom?

Display? Prozessor? kann mir eigentlich nichts vorstellen (theoretisch) weil alles so ziemlich energieeffizient ist a la Prozessor vor allem aber es könnte durchaus sein, dass das Nexus 4 vor dem Test nicht ein paar aufgeladen wurde (Zyklus) und somit der Akku nicht 100% eingespielt ist/war wie bei den anderen.

Könnte bzw hoffe auf eine vorab built. Auch die leistung soll noch nicht so wirklich überzeugen...
