• All-in-1kernel because it supports CM9, CM10, Samsung, MIUI and Boot-to-Gecko (B2G) ROMs with a single kernel image. (no Sense4all support)

• Custom CWM touch recovery with swipe gestures and double-tap selection
• 16-steps
• 5-step GPU frequency levels. VPLL Mode to have additional frequency steps. defaults frequencies: 66-108-166-267-330.
• Auto-root. You can also remove root via STweaks app and install it without rebooting your phone again. Auto-root can be disabled as well.
• CPU Overclock/Undervolt support (we have two interfaces for that. both of them are defacto standard)
• Tweakable vitalij's value (set to 5 as default)
• Adjustable touchpad led brightness
• Fixed fuelalert wakelocks
• You can completely disable android logger using STweaks app
• Faster charging for misc and USB modes. There are 3 modes (AC, Misc, USB) and normally last two of them support only slow charging. You can have charging speed of AC by increasing it (especially user while charging in car or using USB port)
• Cpu governor optimizations
• Gpu voltage, clock and stepcount interfaces (GPU Overclock/Undervolt)
• Screen brightness curve settings with original panel gamma values. panel values unchanged, so you will get stock colors and will be able to use supercurio's voodoo display app when it is released. brightness modification will only change auto-brightness response.
• BLN support both for Samsung and CM ROMs (you can use STweaks, Nstools or BLNControl app from the market to enable it)
• Breathing or Blinking effect for BLN. (Make sure you don't enable blinking in any other BLN app) Use STweaks to select one of them.
• Better touch sensitivity
• Available CPU Governors: Pegasusq (default), Ondemand, Lulzactive, SmartassV2, Interactive and Conservative, Performance, Userspace, Powersave
• CIFS as module
• Available I/O schedulers: CFQ (default), noop, Deadline, SIO, V(R)

• Lots of I/O tweaks and filesystem optimizations via some parts of thunderbolt scripts.

• NTFS automounting for USB sticks. When you plug in an NTFS formatted USB flash it will be automatically mounted to /mnt/ntfs folder.

Q: I am having some random lockups with some apps
A: try removing root by using ExTweaks app and reinstall it.

Q: Where can I find ExTweaks? What is it?
A: It is an app coded by Xan which implements a configuration interface that we have designed. It lets you configure some kernel specific settings easily. It doesn't replace voltagecontrol or setcpu apps. you can still use them. ExTweaks is for kernel-specific parameters, some hotplug thresholds and additional tweaks, and the best thing about it is that you won't have to update it. the required interface is embedded into the kernel and it will introduce you a dynamic interface depending on the kernel you are using. of course, the kernel developer should support it. ExTweaks is completely free and ad-free. You can download it from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...n.extweaks.app

Q: Does this kernel work on XXXXXX-ROM?
A: If the ROM is based on Samsung Stock ICS Rom LPQ or newer, it should. Otherwise, search the thread... If you cannot find any reference to that ROM, try the kernel. You won't lose anything by trying this kernel. Worst case scenario is to reflash your previous kernel or ROM. You can backup your previous kernel with Hellcat's k-tool from the market.

Q: Where is CM9, MIUI or Samsung ROM versions?
A: There is only one version. Both ROMs are supported with a single kernel image.

Q: What is the best settings?
A: It is the one you try yourself and like.

Q: I have just lost 20-30% battery by just rebooting/flashing the kernel. Is it a bug?
A: No. It happens because of our fuel gauge chip which doesn't require calibration goes crazy sometimes. It is not related with kernel or ROM. Just reset fuel gauge chip using ExTweaks app (or remove the battery and wait 3 minutes) and then charge your phone.

Q: BLN doesn't work.
A: you need to enable it in extweaks or BLN app. if you have more than one app to configure bln make sure all of them use the same settings.

Q: BLN works in test mode but it doesn't work otherwise.
A: if test mode works you should blame the apps. Stock messaging and email apps may not support BLN and in some other applications you may need to enable notifications. Either find another application or change your ROM.

Q: Can I use breathing effect without using BLN?
A: for now, breathing effect only works in BLN. There is no way of using it otherwise.

Q: I need to disable and re-enable BLN in extweaks to get it working again. What is the problem?
A: You may have another BLN related application (BLNapp, nstools, or a script) which disables BLN after extweaks apply the setting at early boot stage. you have to either uninstall that app or enable BLN in that app as well.

Ja nur für Samsung-based Roms.
Läuft übrigens einwandfrei mit Litening 1.1.

Mh, bin auch am Überlegen was das heißen soll "Runs on both Samsung and CM9 Roms. CM9 will not be supported until the CM9 team prepares a release candidate. So if it doesn’t work on any AOSP, MIUI or CM9 based ROM don’t report it or ask for help."
"Runs on both Samsung and CM9 Roms." heißt ja eigentlich das es gehen soll, aber danach der Satz sagt das es nicht unterstützt wird!?

Ich mach mal ein Android Backup und teste den Kernel dann mal auf CM9. Ich berichte dann. Schrotten werden ich mein Handy ja wohl nicht dadurch oder?

Denke nicht, außer ein Bootloop kann nichts passieren! Bin mal gespannt!

Gleich gehts los. ..nur noch schnell das Backup auf der Platte speichern. Sicher ist sicher.---------- Hinzugefügt um 13:23 ---------- Vorheriger Beitrag war um 12:36 ----------So, mit CM9 ist der Kernel leider noch nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Bootanimation geht nicht, was aber das geringere Übel ist. Viel schlimmer ist dass der Prozess android.phone abstürzt.

Aber wie ich gerade beim neu aufspielen von Cm9 sehe gibt es duch den Kernel ein neues CWM Recovery Menü. Das heißt CWMR, ist im ICS 4 Style gehalten und lässt sich per Touchscreen steuern.
edit2: Steht ja auch im Changelog wie ich gerade sehe

Hab ihn drauf.Läuft genau wie mit cf evtl sogar etwas besser.Also ist nur der erste Eindruck.

Warning: this is not a compiled kernel but only a repack of cfroot kernel. only initramfs part is modified until the sources are out.

Changelog:

• fixed cm9 support
• suppressed extweaks remove-root.sh script errors
• fixed the build.prop modification problem (removed it completely)
• fixed some typos in extweaks interface and added idle-only & aftr-only modes for those who do not care about the battery life and want no-deepsleep.

Ich habe ihn jetzt theoretisch geflasht. Theoretisch deswegen weil ich gerade nicht weiß ob er wirklich drauf ist. Aus der Kernel-Version Info kann ich das irgendwie nicht erkennen. 3.0.15-I9100XXLPH-CL118559 se.infra@SEI-45 #3

edit: Da jetzt CWMR drauf ist, ist demzufolge auch der SiyahKernel Kernel drauf.
Bis jetzt kann ich nichts ungewöhnliches (negatives) festellen.

Kann denn mal jemand testen ob der sd Karten Bug jetzt weg ist ?

Soweit ich feststellen konnte, ist das Problem mit der SD nicht mehr vorhanden! Zumindest funktioniert der E-Book-Reader von go!

Kann jemand was genaueres sagen ob der Kernel sauber unter CM 9 läuft.

Ich würde ihn schon gern testen, da ich unter 2.3.6 sehr zufrieden mit dem Siyah Kernel war.

Booten tut er, es gibt keine fc zum Start ergo bleibt er zum Test erstmal drauf.

Ich bleibe auf jeden Fall erstmal bei diesem Kernel. Über Nacht hatte ich einen Standby Verbrauch von ca. 10% in ca. 9 Stunden was für meine Verhältnisse richtig gut ist.
