JM1... und nun?

...ist mein handy langsamer als mit der originalen...
Soll man da jetzt noch einen speedfix drauf machen? Arbeitet der mit jm1. Kriegt man den leicht wieder runter... wenn froyo kommt.. oder muss man dazu mit odin flashen. Habe weder root noch donst was bei mir.. nur jm1.. und aussetzer.... und keine verbindung mehr zu kies... blinkt aif einmal nur noch..

Schau mal, da gibts nun eine apk Datei, (also installierbar)
Die haust Du Dir auf's SGS, und klickst sie an, dann wird das Speedfixprogramm installiert.
Du gehst dann in das Programm und kannst ohne auch nur irgendetwas anders zu installieren, Dein SGS zum Renner machen.

Kein Root vorher nötig, kein nix, nur dieses Programm

(ist seriös, kommt vom "Erfinder" des ext2 Speedfixes aus dem xda Forum und ich hab es grad selbst Erfolgreich getestet.)

hab mit speedfix udg keine erfahrung.
hab vor kurzem über kies die neueste firmware oben.
läuft jetzt besser als im auslieferungszustand.
habs mit root udg auch nicht so am hut.
das was du jetzt gepostet hast, klingt sehr lässig.

nachteile von dem ganzen???
krieg ich das zeugs wieder vom sgs ohne folgeschäden?
und was bewirkt es nun konkret?? einfach *nur* geschwindigkeit wie zb. beim öffnen der apps??

Genial! Wollte den Speedfix eigentlich nicht mehr aufspielen da es mir ein bisschen zu umständlich war aber damit ist das kein Problem

This is an APK (Normal Android App) that will install an EXT2 lag fix for you.

The APK itself can support a number of different lag fixes, but currently only a simple EXT2 lag fix is available in it.

Currently Included Lag Fixes:

Root + Superuser - The APK includes an update.zip that will root+superuser your device. Android 2.1 does not support auto-running/recovery mode from apps, so you will have to manually enter recovery mode. Android 2.2 does support this, so it may be added in the future.

EXT2Tools - This installs the correct busybox and some ext2 tools for checking the filesystem, etc.

OneClickLagFix V1+ - The included lag fix is called 'OneClickLagFix V1+' and is a heavily checked version of the original 1.0 One Click Lag Fix Script. It contains additional checking, the app and app-private folders, as well as filesystem checking on boot. It cannot use as much space as the V2-3 lag fix, and uses sym-links instead of mounts, so it is a little slower. If the 2-3 fix works for you, it is probably better.

OneClickLagFix V1+ Remover - This should painlessly remove the lag fix for you.

Space Checker - You can check the amount of free space still available for apps after the lag fix is installed using the option in the app. Works for all lag fixes.

What is this lag fix version for?

A lot of people have trouble with the script versions. This aims to make a simple lag fix that anybody can use. It has a lot of checks, and does not remove any files that the system is using. This hopefully means that this lag fix will cause zero problems. In the event that a lag fix fails, the app should undo the lag fix and leave your device as it started. You will have the option to mail the log to the lag fix developer (me in the case of the stock lag fixes).

This lag fix does not compete directly with the other available ones - this lag fix aims to make a lag fix that anybody can install without worry, that will cause no issues, and will Just Work, even if that means sacrificing some more advanced features.

This is currently in RELEASE-CANDIDATE status. Feel free to report any issues/bugs in this thread!

How to use this:

Copy over the APK file onto your phone, and run/install it as normal. There will be a 'One Click Lag Fix' app installed. Run that, and select the option you want!

The app will automatically kill all running tasks, and enable flight mode. You should probably not use the device while the lag fix is running. If you accidentally hit back or home by mistake, re-enter the app and re-select the lag fix. It should still be running.

Notes on V1+

You may see a delayed splash screen on boot. This is because the EXT2 filesystem is being checked at this point.
Quadrant scores should be around 2100.

Android Market

If this app hits RELEASE status, I will look into submitting it to the market. This requires $25, so donations towards that are welcome!

The fix creates an virtual EXT2 filesystem inside the stock RFS filesystem on the internal SD card with a 4kb block size. This means that this lag fix creates a buffer between the real filesystem and the android system. This buffer should reduce the amount of disk I/O required for all operations by utilising EXT2 buffering, as well as not writing file access times to disk etc. It allows only 1GB for application data at this stage, down from the 2GB of application data when running stock.

Obs einfach so deinstalliert werden kann, kann ich nicht sagen, da nicht getestet

ja natürlich. erst als test, und dann bei release über den market

außer in die 2.2 bringt denselben speed (warum bauen so einen fix nicht einfach schon so ein in froyo?)

Hast du sonst noch was gemacht ausser die Datei auf das Gerät kopiert und dann installiert? ich komme beim Quadrant Test ohne den Speedfix auf 842 und mit dem Speedfix nur gerade mal auf 872!

bereits drei mal! habs auch wieder deinstalliert und neu installiert. leider keine Verbesserung!

steht sicher irgendwo im forum, aber bevor ich jetzt ewig such hier meine frage: wie komm ich zu diesem quadrant test?

Ich verwende für den Test das Programm Quadrant Standard Edition aus dem Market.

Einfach im Market nach Quadranr suchen.

Quadrant davor ca. 800, danach 2070.

So hab ihn mir grade installiert... und bin begeistert.

Dachte ja schon der Sprung von JF3 auf JM1 war ein guter schritt, aber mit Lagfix nochmal Welten besser.


Edit: Quadrant sagt bei mir 2162.

du schreibst, dass du es sogar deinstalliert hast und dann wieder installiert und das wollte ich auch wissen ob es ohne probleme wieder deinstallierbar ist.

Wenn du es installiert hast, musst du es öffnen und dann kommen ein paar Felder, die grünen sind anklickbar. Dann klickst du zuerst auf Root, danach musst du es neustarten(Beim Starten Lautstärke nach Oben +Home Taste gedrückt halten bis ein Menu kommt und dort update.zip auswählen).Wenn das Galaxy neu gestarte ist öffnest du wiederum das Programm und spielst den Speedfix auf. Das wars auch schon
