Orange SPV C500 long SMS ringtone problem

I need help to solv the follow problem: I own Orange smartphone SPV C500.
When I use some long song for SMS ringtone, my phone always play it all. Its
a bit crazy, if the tone has for example 3 minutes, that the phone rings the
melody,that sms has come, even though that i have already read the sms and
also answered it. How can I resolve this problem ?

You should cut your ringtone to 10 seconds... I don't now an other way...
