Guten Tag
Hardware:
- TDS Nomad (TimbaTec)
- Prozessor ARM920T PXA320
- Speed: 806 MHz
- RAM Size: 128 MB
- Flash Size: 2048 MB
Windows Mobile environment:
- Windows Mobile 6 Professional
- CE OS 5.2.1946 (Build 18550.0.7.4)
Installed Software:
- Microsoft .NET CF 3.5
- Microsoft .NET CF 3.5 DE-String Resources
- SQLServer Compact 3.5 SP1 (Core, Repl, Tools DE)
- Our .NET Client application
Request for support:
With several devices we have one or more of the following problems mostly after a soft reset was performed by the user while using our .NET Client application
I.The device seems to loose information from its internal flash memory: It looses predefined connection settings like ISP and data connection settings. As far as we know these are stored in the registry and should remain there even if a soft reset is performed. But we definitively have devices loosing this information.
II.Installed programs, like the .NET Framework or SQL CE 3.5 disappear from the list of installed programs. The user starts our .NET Application and then the system complains that those components could not be found. In some cases the list of installed programs is completely empty.
III.On some devices the screen calibration dialog keeps popping after each soft reset.
IV.On some devices the folder Icon for "Storage Card" shows up more than once. However the second entry of the term "Storage Card" is not readable, it consists of a sequence of unreadable characters.
V.We were able to access the registry remotely on a few devices. The registry does not contain a list of installed programs anymore even though the programs appear in the "Program files" folder.
On some affected devices we have the problem that our 40MB SQL CE database gets corrupted. We do compact the database daily. We keep the connection open as long as our application is running. All data access is performed through transactions. This point does not necessarily appears in conjunction with the other points mentioned above.
Gruss,
Peter
